Best Spanish Meal Outside of Spain EVER! Who knew that a little place called EL REBOST in Prescott, Ontario would have the most... fantastic Spanish meal we?ve had since leaving Spain years ago? Proprietor Mark served up a feast on our friend?s birthday thatbegan with a charcuterie board of Spanish jamon and cheeses, then Tortilla con Patatas (Spanish Omelette), the freshest of breadrubbed with tomato, garlic and olive oil, white asparagus with mayonnaise, Croquetas that melted in my mouth, Patates Bravas,Seafood Paella, and more. It was a meal to remember, and because El REBOST is an importer and supplier of Spanish foods torestaurants and stores, we left with authentic Spanish supplies to enjoy some of the dishes at home. We?ve eaten in manySpanish restaurants outside of Spain, but this truly was the best, and it was hidden away, just off the 401 highway, where wenever would have expected to find it. Over the course of perhaps 2 hours a small group of us had what might have been the finest lunch of my life. I thought we'd just... have paella, but we had half a dozen spectacular dishes before the paella. We stopped here last weekend on our way from Toronto to Ottawa on a hunch, and boy were we glad we did! The location, the... hospitality, and the food, each more spectacular than the other. We glad that we have stopped by this restaurant when we are on the way to Montreal. It's looks a bit weird that it's in the... industry area at the beginning. But we have checked their reviews and decided to give it a try. We have ordered the seafoodpaella to share and it tastes sooooo good. Even the kids love it and thumbs up. The restaurant is welcoming and clean. The ownertold us that they're the supplier for some of the Spain restaurants in Toronto. That's why they are having this little dinningspace for themselves just for now. They're going to have a bigger space in the future. I hope they will get success and keep upthe good food and excellent service. I will definitely go back when I am in that area. Read more
