We were touring the Picton area and went to Lake on the Mountain, intending to go to Millers for Lunch. We had our dog with us... and I took him for a quick walk while the rest of the party went into Millers to get a table. I noted no trespassing and no dogsigns around the restaurant area and also saw other dogs there, so I went the opposite way. I was walking along the side of themain road (which is a public highway) opposite the resort, in an area nowhere near any buildings or people. My dog walked offthe side of the road to pee, and some lady yelled very condescendingly from what appears to be the main resort building acrossthe highway that we were on private property. Unfortunately the coward that yelled this was hidden somewhere in the building soI couldn?t respond. The lunch at Millers was amazing, but was completely overshadowed by the Karen next door, and had the othermembers of my party not already ordered drinks, I would have left once I realized Millers was associated with the resort. Eitherway, I certainly won?t be back. We?ve travelled all over the country with our dogs and have never experienced anything likethis. The signs plastered on the side of the building asking Stewart Bailey (whoever that is) to resign immediately, were alsoreally strange. Read more

Reservations are advised. We were able to adjust our reservation in the afternoon of the day of. We were welcomed to a very nice... clean restaurant. A large stone fireplace had a wood fire burning gently. We?ll spaced tables, with great servers. The food andwine was great. Perfect sized portions filled us up with no room for desert. The deserts at the tables around us looked amazing. Read more

We stayed in Rm 2 of the House over the Road. Room is nice, location is great but shower is poor, TV has only 2 channels and... internet is lousy. Read more

Great view on room 1 of the house across the street. The AC was really old and SO NOISY it woke us up all night. The shower head... should have been replaced. Bed was comfy and the room was clean. Read more

Great location and ambiance! After an initial misunderstanding and booking error on our part, we thoroughly enjoyed our... experience there. In the future we'll be considering the cottages on the lake. The log cabin was just a little too 'rustic' forour taste, but it appears to have undergone some renovations since. We really enjoyed Miller's Tavern and the stunning view ofthe bay as well as the fine restaurant on the property, Overall, great venue for a weekend escape! Read more

Very much not a "resort" Towels and bedding were not serviced evey day, this is the least concerning. Guests were asked to... wash the provided dishware but not provided soap or cleaning supplies. I and I assume every previous guest did no more than arinse Guests were asked to take garbage to a dumpster at the other end of the property or face a cleaning fee, and there was nogarbage can other than a very small one in the washroom. We asked for coffee in the morning (drip coffee, nothing complicated),and it took almost 45min for the staff to have it ready. They then also charged us for it. There was no staff onsite at all forcheck-out. Read more
