Ordered Ginger Beef and Chicken Chow Mein. The ginger beef was hot, but not a lot of flavour - definitely no ginger taste at... all. The Chow Mein was ridiculous - not stir fried - no sauce - just some pasty white flavourless chicken pieces on top of someflavourless gummy boiled noodles. $9.95 surprise on my bill for an assorted sunimono is criminal. I have never paid more than $6.99 for an assorted sunimono and... others have Octopus on it as well. This one had four small shrimp and a tiny teaspoon of crab meat. I have been going to ChinaTaste for decades. I am very very bitter after this experience and will not return, especially as I alerted them to my concernand did not even get a sorry, just a that's the charge, deal with it. Well, if I had known the charge I would not have ordered,I ordered from an online menu that stated it was $5.99. Now, even if that menu was a year old, that kind of inflation is justplain outrageous. Love their food. Twice recently I?ve not gotten what I ordered though. Wrong item, plus missing white rice as well today.... Extremely frustrating getting home and not having what I wanted to eat. No soy sauce and no fortune cookie even. The sweet and sour pork was lightly sauced and seemed like it had been cooked 6 hours... before and may as well have been the leftovers from the buffet or something. The chickenchow mein looks like and tastes like mrnoodles from a pack and had no chicken in it all or flavor and took up over 70 percent of the meal. The tiny portion of chopsuey tastes like the vegetables are unwashed and is really overcooked. This is by far the worst Chinese food I have ever had andfor the 25 bucks I paid with delivery and 3 dollar tip I would have to say it was a complete waste of money. Read more
