Went there last night. Quality never disappoints. However it is a little pricey but given the lack of food choices in Rupert, I... come here every time I get into town. Owner is the chef, super nice guy. Interesting point I noticed last night: all theirchairs and tables are made with wooden joints and dowels, no nails or screws Read more

Best sushi experience outside of Japan. Small, simple, next level freshness, quality and presentation. This place is famous... amongst those that know it. If you need a reason to visit Prince Rupert, Fukasaku is it. Read more

Loved, loved, loved this teeny place on the waterfront. I had the tasting menu. 24 hours notice is required for the chef?s... special meal but my sampler was good enough, I wish we had another day so I could give the required notice. I would have gone a2nd night. Husband had an assorted platter that he really enjoyed. Read more

Absolutely incredible- the food, the setting and the service. We couldn?t have had a better experience here. My mum and I each... had the Fukasaku Favourites which was amazing. Their commitment to sourcing local and sustainable produce is just icing on thecake. We only had one full day in Prince Rupert and I was tossing up between Fukasaku and Opa Sushi (which is also excellent).I ended up getting Opa for lunch, which was lovely but more casual. I?m so happy we had our evening meal here at Fukasaku. Makesure to check it out! Read more

I must say I have try various sushi places in Vancouver but none come close to the fresh flavours of Fukasaku. Every entree has... a delicious flavour that will leave wanting more. You must try the chefs special which must be ordered one day ahead so you canflavour a bit of everything. But trust me..It is worth the money, the trip and beautiful ocean view in Prince Rupert, BC Read more

Ordered the Omasake or testing menu created by the chef. It was absolutely stunningly and artfully created. They were able to... accomodate gluten free for this as well. It was a wonderful experience and we plan to visit Fukasaku again. Read more

What a gem of a place. The best food, hands down, that we've had in Prince Rupert. I'm from Vancouver and this would rival the... best Japanese food there easily. Insanely fresh, melt in your mouth fish. We had the sushi and sashimi platter and it was awonderful mix of sushi rolls, sashimi and nigiri. We also had a vegetarian roll with cucumber, avocado topped with mushrooms andit was one of the highlights of the meal. I can't imagine anything here tasting anything but incredible. Great service eventhough there's only one server. The chef is Japanese and you can tell the attention and care he puts into every dish. Makereservations as it's small and they fill up my quickly. This is a must visit place if you're in Prince Rupert. Read more
