This was the 1st time at Lupe's, my wife ordered a shrimp on the beach, plate, it was quite tasty and well prepared. It was a... pretty good size plate of food. I think she said she had 15 shrimp on a bed of cheesy rice. I ordered a combo plate: two tacos,an enchilada, and caiso cheese. What I received was a burrito and one taco. I did not get what I ordered. The waitress was verysweet, wanting to replace it, very apologetic, but I said I would just keep what I had in front of me. The refriedbeans were sorunny they should be served in a bowl with a spoon.The atmosphere was OK, nothing exceptional. It is a typical Mexicanrestaurant with typical Mexican restaurant fare. On a side note, they do give you a big basket of chips and salsa. Salsa waswhat I call Mexican restaurant ketchup. It didn't taste like a lot of other salsas in a lot of other Mexican restaurants, it wasa little vinegary tasting. It was OK, but I didn't care for the salsa. Read more
Lupe?s has jumped in to the top 5 of Mexican restaurants in the area! This place was fantastic. First of all, they did an... amazing job of renovating and painting the old Ponderosa building, well done. The menu has many choices, but I had to go withmy old standby, the chicken chimichanga. It didn?t disappoint. Generous portion size and plenty of cheese sauce. The best partmay have been the guacamole. Many places don?t serve guacamole, or they serve the stuff that comes in a bag. This was the realdeal. You could see the chunks of fresh avocado. The chips were crispy and the salsa was the perfect consistency. Will be backsoon! Read more
Everything about my visit to Lupe?s was great! I had the Burrito Verde Supreme, with no lettuce or sour cream. It was very good.... The green salsa that comes on this burrito is excellent. My mouth is watering just thinking about it! I left full and satisfiedand will definitely return. Thanks! Read more
