This bakery is such a cute spot in downtown Princeton! I stopped by this place with my parents to get some desserts for my... dad's birthday. The staff was very friendly and patient in explaining what each item they had were. I really appreciate onestaff member speaking Chinese to my dad so that he could be a part of the decision process when choosing out hisdesserts. Ambiance: - well lit! - plenty of seating indoors and outdoors Service: - friendly staff Food: - lemon Blueberrycake- light and tangy flavor! I enjoyed the different textures of this cake: creamy ness from the mousse layer and fluffinessfrom the cake layer. The macaron on top had a good sharp orange flavor - mango mousse cake- light and distinct mango flavor.Cake and mousse parts complimented each other. The cake is both beautiful to look at and delicious in flavor! This place alsohas afternoon tea! I saw that some people had a small tower of mini desserts and they looked so delicious. A very cute and pretty bakery in Princeton The ambiance is so good! They have indoor and outdoor seating! They have plenty of... options from pastries to croissants, sandwiches and juices and coffee. We have tried their Truffolo cake - dark chocolate cake- it was very delicious worth the price. Mango mouse pastry - delicious ? just would have preferred if the chocolate piping onthe pastry should have not been there. Spinach croissant- okayish did not like it that much. Best bakery in Princeton for custom birthday cakes. A slice of Paris in Princeton, NJ. I picked up the mango mousse layer cake... for a 2nd birthday party and Emily was super helpful when placing the order over the phone, she also assisted myself in storewhen I picked up later that week. The cake itself was done extremely well and delightful to look at. Would highly recommend forbirthdays and celebrations! Read more
We went for the desserts but also order some sandwiches for lunch. My picky eater son devoured his cheese grill croissant.... Daughter got a salad she said was really good . Turkey, bacon Brie and avocado sandwich was good and ham and Gruyère was reallygood too. After that we each choose a dessert and they are unique but the Mara des Bois cake was the best . I really enjoyed Chez Alice. Including, the way it is set up and decorated. It has a small town café feel and fits right in... with the Princeton crowd. Their coffee based strengths including espressos are excellent. They have a variety of pastries.Unfortunately, the pastry that I did buy as seen in the picture was supposed to be a rose eclair. At least that's what the signsaid. It even has rose petals sprinkled on the pastry. However, I can't really taste any rose, I did taste like raspberry andcream. A little confusing for sure and cost eight dollars. Which of course is very pricey. Overall, a great spot but at least inmy experience the pastry chef needs to do a better job. Read more
