Top 3 best pizzas I?ve had in my life. I was full after half the pie but it was so good that I had to keep going. First time in... my life I ate an entire pizza and boy was it worth it. Read more

Conte's is CLASSIC. This is real pizza. You gotta know what you're doing when you get in - wait by the hostess stand for someone... to eventually come by, and fyi they'll take your PIZZA order right away before seating you, so study that menu! Simple pizzasthat are big and delicious, but they are flexible if you are like me and want a cheeseless pizza with the works. Great ambience,a local hot spot in Princeton (a town where things sometimes feel too glamorous). This is good old classic yummy foods with nofrills, just amazing cookery. Read more

Conte's is a long standing institution in Princeton and for good reason. They make no false claims about the oldest pizza on... earth or reference to a tomato pie for the sear sake of unearned pizza heritage. They just make a solid pie and they've beendoing it for a long time. The staff and bar tenders are great and are welcoming to customers new and old. The old stone buildinghouses a pizza place that is nostalgic for decades gone by. It is reminiscent of a union hall of the 50s. Conte's gets busy onFridays and Saturdays but it's worth the wait. Cream of the crop Central and North Jersey style bar pie. Was slightly pricy IMHO, but definitely holds it own. Has the typical... elements of northeastern USA Pizza, but also had enough elements of an NJ bar pizza. Need to try more on the menu & Definitelywould go again! Read more

Drove 1.5 hours for a bar style pizza that supposedly would have a crunch that would shatter my eardrums. Instead I arrived and... was served a completely undercooked and raw pizza. Should I have said something and sent it back? Probably, but when I go toplace I trust the people in the kitchen. The mark of greatness is consistency. As I waited over and hour, I saw a mix abeautifully cooked pies and severely undercooked pies. Unfortunately I got the ladder. Really unacceptable. I would say I?llgive it a try next time, but given the distance, I?m afraid the next time will only be just an imagination. Read more

Hung out and had a few beers at the bar while waiting for 8 large pies. Great service. The place was packed and there was not an... unhappy face in the crowd. El pesidente is correct. Top notch pizza. Read more

Drove 45mins on a recommendation. WORTH IT!! I hail from Philly, y'all, I consider myself a bit of a pizza connoisseur, as we... have amazing pizza spots all over the city. While I will say, this is MAYBE not the BEST pizza Ive ever had overall, it IS thebest SAUCE I've tasted anywhere!! (Stll looking for a pie comparable to the slice I got at a grubby South Bronx hole in thewall under the el when I was 15yo whose name is long forgotten now!) And the thin crust is delicious, too (this is a crust notto be missed!!)!! Order in advance, anticipate a poss 30 min wait for a table, but absolutely ???? a must stop if you're ever inthe Princeton NJ area!! I love the tee they have for sale (see pic, buy one, it'sa great conversation piece! ????) and take timeto read the history of the business by the back (front!) door! Def on par w Mack's and Sam's in Wildwood, NJ, we will def beback!!!! Read more

My son and I debated driving a little out of our way to try Conte?s pizza. We?d heard it was good and we are damn glad we took... the time. It was fantastic. I?d go back anytime I?m near Princeton, NJ. Great place where you can watch them slowly makingthe pizzas and putting them in the hot ovens. I?d put this pizza on par with the top places in NYC. Crispy thin crust withjust the right amount of cheese and sauce. Read more
