Unsanitary conditions and cheap. Starting with unsanitary conditions, we found plastic packaging in our food (photos attached).... The bathroom was out of soap and we alerted staff and asked for a refill of the soap container. He put out a new soap dispenserfor us. But when the next person at our table went to the bathroom, the soap was removed. Either employees don't need to washtheir hands before returning to work or they are saving money on soap. The spicy chicken sandwich wasn't spicy and there wasvery little meat. It was a thin layer of meat between two layers of fried crust. So it was a little bitter from eating mostlyoil. The same chicken was also in the chicken and waffles dish. Obviously trying to cut costs on the price of meat, but for theprice of the sandwich it felt like a scam. You'll get more chicken in a McDonald's sandwich. The burrata was sliced very thinlyand I'm sure there wasn't a full burrata on the plate they served us. The food didn't come out at the same time (not a big dealbut some people in our group were bothered). One entree came out before the rest. Then 10 minutes later the other entrees cameout. And when we were halfway done with our food, the appetizers finally arrived. Lastly the check came and the calculated tipson the receipt were a scam. If you don't do the math yourself, you'll lose money. Our bill came to $63.98 but the restaurantsuggested that an 18% tip was $15.48 instead of $11.52. If you're not careful, you won't tip what you actually want to. It feelspetty but no one wants to be tricked. You'll leave a good tip if you have a great experience. Read more

Must go! We went for Sunday brunch and everything was exquisite. Wonderful, peaceful ambiance, great service, and most... importantly, incredible and truly fresh food. The Burrata crostini were full of deliciously balanced flavors and the NutellaBanana Croissant was such a treat with its fresh whipped cream. The Avocado Toast had such delicious flavors as well. TheCountry Omelette had a great texture and was well prepared. Lastly, the Berry French Toast was worlds better than any otherFrench Toast with its compote and texture. Cannot recommend enough!! The upstairs was closed so we ate in the area inside downstairs where there are 2 or 3 tables. The place looked old and dumpy... and you order at the counter so I was not expecting much. However, the service was very pleasant and the food was delicious. Itwas a very enjoyable meal. Read more

Went for Sunday brunch. The exterior doesn’t show how beauty the place is on the second floor; When you walk in, it looks like... a diner but if you go up it’s a nice fancy restaurant. I got the salmon and faro bowl and my friend got the burger. The salmonwas too small but tasted good, the faro was honestly boring and tasted like nothing. My friend really liked his burger and saidit was nicely done. I was surprised that they didn’t have any spicy sauce or flakes . Read more

Come upstairs to the restaurant (inside seating or outside on the terrace), you will enjoy the food and the ambiance. The food... is **excellent**, the Chief makes a great job (plates show you he learnt very well the lessons from the French MasterChef JoëlRobuchon!). The menu doesn’t offer a large choice, but every plate is a delight for the eyes and for the palate - you can’tbe wrong. Prices are reasonable, staff is very kind and caring. A great experience. Only for dinner, hopefully they will offerbreakfast and lunch soon! Read more

Thoroughly enjoyed my experience at the Ficus Above. The place is freshly opened and beautifully designed and the personnel is... friendly and attentive. Got myself burrata as a starter and a duck breast, and both dishes exceeded my expectations. The duck isso delicate that it almost melts in your mouth, and what a nice touch was the carrot purée that came along with it - definitelyworth trying! Ficus Above is certainly a local landmark when it comes to gourmet cuisine and pleasant atmosphere, and is worth adetour if you’re in NJ area. P.S. There’s also a cafe downstairs that offers delicious healthy bowls and bubble tea’s,tried them a couple of dates later and was also quite pleased Read more

The food is great and the atmosphere is super! I ordered the goat cheese salad and the grilled salmon. The flavor turned out to... be better than I thought. The restaurant is a gallery itself and it was quite an enjoyable experience for me to have the lunchin Ficus. Read more

Definitely excellent cooking and environment! Worth a detour for people around NJ. Their special drink galaxy love is sooooooo... good! Love it. Second floor is for formal dining. It compares favorably with restaurants in Manhattan!! A must go nearPrinceton. Read more
