For a newcomer in area. Thought I'd try it out. They delivered ahead of time. Well portioned food for lunch. Online ordering was... a breeze. I ordered a mixture of items for later. We pigged out and got 2 of the GPS appetizers, and an extra large pizza. Holy smokes was that a lot of food! And delicious too!... Service was phenomenal and the owners are very eager to please their customers. A true GEM in little Prophetstown! Read more
I ordered a small pizza with bread and sauce which was $28.00 plus delivery fee and it was awful the food was cold and rubbery... but I always give more than one chance, so I tried again and when all I ordered was bread and sauce it was almost $18.00 andthey gave me a bowl of stuff that appeared to have been scraped from the bottom of the pan. I never had tried pizza Joe's until about a month ago, and my only complaint is that I waited too long to try it. I've been... working my way through their specialty pizzas, and so far I like all of them. Today my girls tried their pasta, and aside fromthe portions being ginormous they liked it. I've been here a few times and if we are being honest the quality is not the same every time. I've had not so great experiences... in the past with the quality of food, but this particular visit I was blown away by how good it was! Whatever Pizza Joe's hasdone to correct the previous deficiencies is definitely working! We decided to go with a large Dave's All Meat pizza. Thespecial for the month of October is a free Sicilian with the purchase of a large pizza, so we got that too! The pizza was reallygood, the crust was a little crispier than I would have hoped for on the bottom but it still tasted delicious! The Sicilian wasa wonderful addition, it was loaded with garlic butter! When you dine in you get an additional discount off your entire bill aswell as complimentary bread and meat sauce to dip it in. The bread was super soft and nice and warm! One thing to note that hadme shaking my head was with the beverages. I asked for a water and was brought a bottle, not from tap. That's fine, but I wascharged for it! This should have either been annotated on the menu with the other beverage prices or verbally upon me asking forit. It wouldn't have been a big deal if that was the case, but it's the principle! I recommend giving Pizza Joe's a try atleast once! Read more
