The menu is amazing; you are sure to find at least one item that will fill you up and leave you very happy until your next... meal. The restaurant itself is very well decorated; very festive with a great vibe. It was packed with people when I dinedhere. The food was delicious; the garlic shrimp entree I ordered was bursting with great garlic flavor - nice unique meal. Theguacamole was also very good, as were the chips & salsa. And if you?re in the mood for something more spicy with your meal,request their complimentary spicy salsa. Great meal in a great community. I?ll be visiting again soon! Read more
The service was horrible. I ordered a daiquiri and the drink was watered down and awful. I had my friend take a drink of it and... she said it tasted like colored sugar water. I complained to the server and he said it was fine and I should drink it. I toldhim to let the manager know it was awful and he said again the drink is fine. He did not offer another drink and charged me forthe drink knowing I did not drink it. I should have asked to see the manager but I do not think he would have told the managerto see me. Awful service. The tacos were fine but had to ask twice for salsa to go with the chips. Read more
Great atmosphere and great service! Plus my fish was one of my favorite at any Mexican restaurants. I had the chicken with ham... and cheese sauce plus pineapple all that and a cherry on top! It is a cozy atmosphere.. if I lived in Norton Commons I woulddefinitely walk up there on a regular basis! Read more
I think you'll find my love of Mexican food in my reviews. This place did not disappoint. Friendly staff, margarita on point,... good selection (and prices) on bourbon (surprised) and tequila. They have unique margarita flavors, I stuck to the classic thistime but I'm excited to go back and try the others! Read more
Okay so I made the mistake of coming here twice in one week. The first time I came the food and the service was immaculate.. I... love how they have a mouthwash dispenser in the bathroom for guests use and I love the upbeat atmosphere. However I decided toreturn later that week and my server was so rude to us it was ridiculous. I literally had to match his energy more than oncebefore he decided to calm down. He cheered up towards the end of our meal, ironically right before he brought us our bill. I hadto fight the urge to ask for another server because I didn't want to be "that" customer.. it's a shame because I had a friend infrom California and up until that point she really was impressed with everyone's hospitality here in louisville. The location was unique, being in a community. Outside seating and music was nice and inviting. The staff was polite, very... helpful and engaging. I lived in California for 22 years and no Mexican Restaurant ever came close to being as good as Gustavo's Mexican Grill. Trying... it today for the first time has changed everything I thought I knew about Mexican food. I ordered a few single side items ontheir menu and i loved everyone. It's light, full of flavors, fresh and prepared well. The restaurant is very clean, staffwelcomes you with a smile. Loved! My husband and I went with our friends and had a great time. Salsa isn?t the best I?ve had but the queso blanco was... great. We had tacos, fajitas, and burritos and all were amazing. I had a frozen mango guava margarita and it was the best frozenmarg I?ve ever had. Love that they let you mix flavors. Overall decor and vibe was awesome, too!
