My mother and I went here for a dinner I?ve been thinking about for a week now. Wow, what a wonderful find. I?ll be honest at first- the menu seemed standard. Interesting salmon, good steak option, calamari.... Don?t be fooled. This isn?t your average American cuisine. It is the best version of all your favorites. We made a last minuteFriday reservation and got an amazing table. The calamari is crisp, spicy and perfectly balanced. The scallops in Uni-cornrisotto is to die for. The shrimp and grits has an umami flavor that is both familiar and also so so so tasty. The service isgreat (thanks Tess), and you won?t be rushed. Don?t skip this place. I plan to come back. First, I was placed at the bar as a single and the tender was nice and friendly.... Even helped me with my selection. I asked about and ordered the Little Gem Salad and Massachusetts Cod dinner. I like to eatlocal fare if possible. The salad was amazing. The dill dressing was subtle and contrasted perfectly with the candied nuts andorange peel. I will get this again. See picture. Then the Cod came out and was beautiful! See the picture. However, I wish Icould say it tasted as good as it looked. The tender asked me how it was and I honestly said ?It?s ok, but not as amazing as itlooks on the plate.? She asked what made me say that so I took a few minutes to really analyze and taste each item, evenseparately. Two things. First I thought it needed a bit more pop. In my opinion it was not seasoned enough. The beautiful saucewas very mild. The veggies were mild. The fish was mild. Get my point. Then, and I have to say this could have been me orperhaps one bad delivery, but the fish tasted a bit fishy, like when it?s older. But that could be a day to day thing. As far asthe cooking, it was perfectly cooked, flaky and tender. Overall I loved the atmosphere, the service and the salad. When I comeback I will try something other than the cod. An absolutely amazing pre-birthday dinner date. We dined early at about 5pm on a Friday night. Started with the Watermelon drink... special and a Bloody Mary. We had 2 each, delicious! Add the calamari and crispy cauliflower ???? Our FAV was the cauliflower.Entree of the marg pizza, always bomb. 10/10 would tell every friend to visit!! Read more

A great small restaurant with plenty of staff and excellent food. We all loved everything. It seems like the menu regularly... changes here. Came here with a party for my birthday so we ordered like half the menu. While the soups were excellent, I didfind them to be a bit pricey considering the sizes of them. It was practically a cup of soup in a big shallow bowl. We needed tochange seats (she has back issues and they seated us at seats that have no backs to them vs a booth) and they were fine athaving us switch over but the regular dining seats here look super uncomfortable outside of the booth seats.
