Absolutely the most amazing food! The service here has been incredible each time I visit. The atmosphere is breathtaking!! I?d... come here every week to eat if I could :) . I highly recommend. UPDATE ON 9.16.2022 That octopus is IMMACULATE . I had to editon this post because google wouldn?t let me add a new post since I have already rated !! But listen ! That octopus, iseverything you?re looking for. It comes with that salad you see in the picture, it was so delicious, I had to get it again butthis time without the garden ;) I enjoy giving all my attention to the octopus!?who made this because I need details. Thetenderness and flavor of the octopus I swear was breathtaking . UPDATE 10.18.2022 Can I just say again how much I love it here.The Octopus was amazing tonight, I almost walked into the kitchen to shake the persons hand who made my meal. Since I can?tcreate a new post I?ll just keep adding to this thread . Tonight?s meal was the octopus with the three lemon wedges ( it must benoted o requested my octopus this way) & the the steak frites is phenomenal. The staff here are incredibly pleasant. Hailey isjust the kind of person I always want serving me, she just knows how to meet your needs . And Mike works to make sure all hisguests are happy and satisfied . I give Mare a solid 4 stars . I have been going there for quite sometimes now. Make sure to have a reservation they tend to fill... up fast. Food is always great , salmon was fresh and the Mare sampler felt short of my expectations but I enjoyed it..Willdefinitely go back. This is not a kid friendly restaurant. Read more
I was looking for a special place to surprise my wife for our 45th wedding anniversary. Having never been to Mare, I chose this... as our destination. It was an amazing evening. The food was incredible, the ambience was equally spectacular. Our rooftop viewwas made incredible by the rising, full, orange harvest moon! Our evening was enhanced because we had an attentive, considerateand thoughtful server, Nicole. She was so friendly and kind to us. She kept assuring us that she would be with us the entireevening for absolutely anything we needed. We wanted the evening to last as long as possible and she never made us feelrushed. At the end of the evening, we asked who we could speak to to pass along our compliments. She sent Katherine to us.Katherine also took her time speaking with us, made us feel valuable and appreciated. Lastly, kudos to the chef! This might bethe first time I ordered a steak medium and it actually arrived perfect. Every time I?ve asked for a medium steak, it has alwaysbeen overcooked. Atmosphere was great. Definitely lucked out getting the last igloo reservation for a Friday night the day before. Julia our... server was excellent. She was incredibly nice and knowledgeable about the menu. If she didn't know the answer about some foodquestions she didn't make up the answer, she found out for us. I am a foodie, and a former restaurant and hotel industryveteran. This was the best service and meal I've had in a long time. Thanks for making our anniversary special. We willdefinitely be back. My husband and I took my 19 year old son and his girlfriend for lunch at Mare yesterday. Starting from the outside the building... itself, corridor and elevator are super clean. We were greeted my a friendly host and were seated right away. Although it wasa balmy 20 degrees out, the sun was shining so it was just so pleasing to feel like you were "outside" as you're surrounded byglass yet it was nice and warm and we could still feel the sunshine. Our waitress Ashley was really wonderful. We had somequestions about the menu items and she was extremely knowledgable. You truly get high end service here without the "stuffiness"that normally comes with that. We couldn't decide what to get so we got the grilled octopus, Brussels sprouts and squash saladas appetizers. All wonderfully delicious. We all got different meals as well, I got the monkfish, my son the steak, my husbandthe pork chop and his girlfriend go the lobster mac and cheese as a meal. All of it was wonderful, my monkfish was reallydelicious. The steak had a bit more char then he liked as it overtook the taste a bit but that was probably because he askedfor it medium well vs medium. I had the apple cider sangria and a glass of white wine and my husband tried two different whitewines as well which were all great. Of course we opted for the Kit Kat cheesecake and the cookie skillet for desert and we allshared and a couple espressos. The waitress was nice enough to bring the cookie skillet out with a candle for my son. I can'tsay enough of Mare, the service was really wonderful and perfectly timed, the atmosphere made us want to stay for an extendedperiod of time and the food was really fantastic. I tried this restaurant for the first time. The interior is beautiful with great style and layout. The food was good, but not... great. Especially for the prices. I expect a little more of a high end product for what they are charging. I might give them atry in the future, hopefully it improves. Read more
Phenomenal service and food. The lobster bisque was light with big chunks of lobster. The strip and braised ribs were amazing.... Generous portions. Genesis was our server and she was super good. Great views and ambience. You can tell the servers and staffwere trained well. Some of the best customer service I have ever had. Read more
