Non vegan here who just enjoys good food, a good atmosphere, and knowing the quality of her food is high. (Who also can?t have... dairy- I?ll explain why this is relevant) From the day I first tried Pianta, I knew this would be my go to vegan spot in RhodeIsland. The food? is incredible. The taste of every single item is absolutely incredible. They somehow manage to create veganversions of classics from around the country! Bayou bowls? Corn fritters? MEZZE platters? I?ve tried each one and they?reAMAZING. What I get most excited about is knowing the quality of my food. They?re a from scratch kitchen, meaning things aremade in house and NOT from gross chemicals, preservatives and dyes. I heard from the owner that Pianta even went nut freebecause she wanted the restaurant to feel even more inclusive. What this means is that the cheeses and sour cream (crema) areall made in house since brands make these items typically out of cashews. I don?t know how the team does it but they knock itour of the park. As someone with Ulcerative Colitis, who gets triggered by dairy, I never miss having it anymore because ofPianta. Try the Cronchwrap, a flatbread special, cheescake, carrot cake, coffee milk, Caesar salad or anything else and you?lltotally agree too. Lastly, the atmosphere is amazing. Everyone is so kind! My favorite little bit is there?s a not to theowners mom painted on the walls. It really is the sweetest touch. Love it here and will always come back Pictures below aremenu items, specials and a plate from an event I went to. Phenomenal all around Read more

I am blown away! This spot is great. Small, homey, and the vibes are immaculate. The staff, the location, love the interior as... well. The neon sign is my favorite touch! The daily special tacos and egg rolls are a must, but the shrimp po boy is to die for!Highly recommend trying, I?ve never even had shrimp- but non vegans in my party said it was extremely similar with the old baybutter touch too! Will absolutely be back. Read more

New favorite vegan restaurant! Ordered 3 different entrees, plus dessert. Fried clams with pasta salad, Buffalo chicken salad,... and honey bbq tenders. Dessert was a delicious vanilla bean donut with fresh strawberries and a divine airy whip. Diverse menuand friendly helpful wait staff. Will be returning soon because I have to try everything on the menu. Read more

First impression wasn?t so good, asking us wait outside while they finished getting ready to open. It would have been nice to... just offer some water and let us have a seat inside. Having said that, the food was great. And once we are inside the servicewas much better. So, it ended up being a good experience. We clicked some pics of the food and it was as tasty as it looks. Youmay want to check it out. When we?re in town next time, we will definitely go back. By the way, we didn?t get one of the salads, but we saw them on someone else?s table and they are massive. Great vegan restaurant with a new brick and mortar location on Federal Hill. Stopped in for the first time for lunch today, and... had a great meal! I had their Brussels sprouts and the Mediterranean falafel salad, and they were both so delicious. I initiallythought the prices were a little high, but the serving sizes were very generous so it turned out to be a pretty good deal. Ialso had their coconut Thai tea, such a good drink! Really creamy on the top and fruity on the bottom. The service was excellentas well. Looking forward to my next visit! Read more
