The food generally was ok but... The rolls they bring to the table, before your food comes, were soft and pretty looking, but... they weren't really special and if you told me they were frozen rolls from the grocery store, I wouldn't be too surprised. Thebruschetta was pretty good. It was well presented and had a good flavor. I prefer it without cream cheese, but I can't reallycomplain about these as they were still good. The French onion soup was a disaster. It didn't taste good. I've had better froma packet mix. It was served in a large soup bowl, so there was no way for the cheese to make that wonderful crust around theoutside. It just swam in the middle with a soggy piece of bread under it. It would have been ok if the cheese still looked likeit had been baked, but it looked like they melted it with a creme brulee torch, so it was blackened in places but not crusty, just softened and it just kinda melted into the soup. The butternut squash was good according to my sister, so maybe I justordered poorly. But again, if they are expecting you to pay $50+ for your dinner it really shouldn't be hit or miss likethat. The chicken tortellini was decent but it was basically tortellini from the store with a relatively flavorful homemadesauce and some chicken. The chicken was still tender, but it wasn't a $30 pasta dish. The tenderloin medallions were well cookedand good. Ordering the tortellini was on me, I guess, I didn't think it through and I should have realized they aren't going tomake their tortellini fresh in house, because most places don't. The tenderloin medallions were definitely a step above theaverage chain restaurant. Barring the soup, the meal was ok. But there's no way I'd be back with how much it cost for an "ok"meal. The service was great though and I'm sure if I'd said something they'd have changed my soup, but you know... waiting fora fixed dish is the worst. Read more

Came here with my girlfriends for a late lunch and it was delicious! We did the full courses. We started with the lemon... flatbread which, in my opinion, was the best bite. The flatbread is new to the menu and was perfectly balanced with a sweetelement coming from the strawberries, savory from the balsamic, peppery from the arugula, all on top of creamy ricotta. We alsohad the bruschetta which was perfectly crunchy and savory. Both were very fresh and an awesome start to the meal. For the firstcourse I had the watermelon salad, others in my party tried the petite wedge salad, mushroom bisque, and the tomato basil. Nocomplaints here! The watermelon salad is also new to the menu and was so fresh and clean. When our entrees arrived we wereexcited to taste what was next. I had the tenderloins which were cooked to perfection. Others in my group got the halibut. Oneof them said it was the best halibut they’ve ever had. Another friend got the filet and she said it was cooked to perfection. We also tried the tortellini and that was loved as well. Our meal ended with the cheesecake. This cake is amazing! Perfectlycreamy with the right balance of tang and sweetness. We had a wonderful time. Ella was our server and she was wonderful. Shegave awesome recommendations and was a delight to talk to. Their head chef Dominic knows what he is doing. All our proteins werethe exact temperature we asked and the flavors were balanced. One of my friends called it “the best meal I’ve ever had.”We are already planning another lunch :) Read more

Great Anniversary experience! Chris was a fantastic waiter and was super friendly and accommodating. It was understandably busy... and we never felt forgotten! My wife and I had a great time. The pretzel and frosted lemonade were amazing! Read more

Great atmosphere. Salmon… I’m a salmon lover and it was the best I’ve had. Crispiest top layer and softest middle I’ve... ever had. Worth $40. Now, they served it over a rice with green sauce that I didn’t feel necessarily complemented thesalmon, but the rice and green sauce were amazing!! So still 5 stars. Only complaint: my tomato bisque soup, though delicious, was lukewarm. Is that a fancy restaurant thing? It still tasted amazing and we were there graduation weekend so I’m still okwith it. We got the pretzel as an appetizer I don’t like pretzels, and I didn’t like it. But the cheese it was servedwith I ate by itself it was so good. I’ll be back. Read more

We ate here for a little celebration dinner. It was very nice. We did not have a reservation and were able to get a table on a... Tuesday night. However i would strongly suggest a reservation. The service was great. Our server was very friendly and helpful. The food was really good. It is about 25 to 50 dollars for the entree. They traditionally do a four course meal and each courseis a la carte. For 5 of us our bill was 200$. It could have been considerably more. Great place for an anniversary dinner. Read more

I ate tjrrr 4 times in the past week. A lot to like and improvement opportunities The salmon was always decent but the... crispness was inconsistent. The hanger stake was a huge disappointment. First time I ever had hanger stake with minimal flavorand tough. The dressing on the salmon salad was amazing The shrimp tasted like they had been ringed in fresh water. Perhapsthey were frozen Someone got the tenderloin tips and was still hungry when they were done. Read more

Love La Jolla Groves! This place is a little bit of a hidden gem. It's never too crazy busy and the staff is always top notch.... The food is always amazing and you can tell the chef takes great pride in their work. One of the best steaks I've ever had. Ilove the atmosphere with the lemon trees. Read more
