I had a good experience here today. Malawi's offers a Variety of quality pizzas at a reasonable price. Yet, their service was a... little slow. Overall, it's worth trying. Read more

My husband and I both got the $12 lunch deal of a full size pizza of our choice, a small drink (or you can upgrade to a large),... and a side salad. Great deal! I wish the pineapple and ham pizza had a lot more cheese on it, but that?s always the risk oftrying a new pizza! I loved my husband?s pizza though! I love that every meal you purchase here buys a meal for a kid in Malawitoo :) Read more

I?ve passed here a few times and we came in as a family last night. When we got there around 9PM it wasn?t busy, pizzas are made... to order, and they tasted light and healthy. All in all though I prefer heavier pizza, I was happy and surprised with the pizzahere and would recommend Malawi?s pizza. Read more

The Citrus Arugula pizza is awesome!!! See below for list of ingredients. It feels healthy like a salad and is totally... delicious (if you love arugula like I do)! They have a lunch special where you get a house salad and a small drink included forfree (pictured, $12 for the pizza). Ingredients: Rosemary infused olive oil, parmesan cheese, romano cheese, asiago cheese, ricotta cheese -- arugula, red onion, mandarin oranges, house-made white balsamic honey thyme citrus vinaigrette. I LOVE Malawi's. It really doesn't get enough hype. I used to eat here all the time when they were in Spanish Fork but then the... location closed and I thought they were all gone. Fast forward to yesterday when they came up on a Google search and NATURALLY Iwent straight there. Malawi's makes some of my FAVORITE pizza - literally top two. Thr crust is always just thin enough andperfectly charred so it's flexible where it needs to be but it's not so weak that you lose the toppings. It's essentially brickoven pizza. The breadsticks are AMAZING as well. The marinara sauce should be the golden standard for all marinara. The pricesare fair. If you think fast food pizza, you may say they're over priced but if you go to any other pizza restaurants, it'sreasonable. $16 for the pizza and the pizzas are roughly 10". That's the only size they offer as well. My husband and I splitthe pizza and each had a breadstick and left satisfied! I could down the whole pizza no problem.. Add two drinks and a tip, andwe were out of there spending less than $30. I wish there was one in the SL valley, but I'll definitely go back when I'm in theProvo area! I've really missed their food! Malawi?s is underrated. I?ve lived in Provo for 6 years and I?m deeply saddened I didn?t come earlier. I first heard about... Malawi?s in a BYU MBA case study. The indoor color scheme is a little crazy but the wood fired brick oven pizza is excellent.Everything I wanted. Read more

Came here on New Years Day and Malawi?s was one of the few options in The Riverwood?s that was open. We received a warm welcome... and attentive service. The lunch special is an awesome deal! My wife got the capri and I got the sausage and mushroom. Both werecooked well and tasted great! Will for sure come back! Read more

A solid 3 to 4 stars. Let?s be honest: Provo has a lot of pizza options. Malawi?s is good, but pricier than most every other... option. And the pizza was again, good, but not quite a five star experience. I got a Capri, a 5 cheese, and a breadstick. Allthe pizzas are essentially what you?d find at Mod or the Blaze, a quick fired pizza. The crust stands out as particularly andnotably light and airy. The breadstick is cheap at $2, a nice find, but tastes like regular bread? which is a bit bland for apizza place breadstick to be honest. The marinara for it is fresh tasting but also thin and watery. The Capri was really good, especially bites with the tomatoes. Amazing! However, the balsamic didn?t quite hit the right complementary notes, somethingI?ve seen implemented much better elsewhere. Hard to put my finger on it. Not bad by any means though. I enjoyed it more thefarther into the pizza I got. The five cheese was a disappointment. I was expecting what turned out to be a FORMER menu item, the FOUR cheese, that had sauce; the FIVE cheese does NOT. There?s nothing special about the five cheese, and I recommend askip. Be aware other menu items may have changed, such as the Thai being discontinued. So on balance, I?d say 12 bucks for adecent but ultimately very light pizza doesn?t really hit for me. Plus a dull breadstick experience. I had a coupon, which madeit a great choice I don?t regret, but I can?t say it?s worth the drive to the Riverwoods for me personally thinking forward. Read more
