We made a reservation for 645 and good thing we did because it was busy. I ordered the candy bacon for an appetizer and it is so... good. It’s got a great brown sugar coating and they are thick pieces. We ordered the three meat plate with beef tips, sausage,and the brisket. The sausage was by far the best but they all had a great BBQ and smoky/sweet flavor. The pulled pork was alittle dry so I wish it had sauce. Their sweet potato fries are crispy and light and their corn bread was so good it tasted likevanilla cake. Out for a drive and stumbled upon this restaurant/bar. Surprised by the different seating areas available. Good choices but... you can tell they lean more towards steak, pulled pork and brisket. I had the Mac n cheese with brisket and pork, hubby had aplain cheese burger and fries. To drink he had 2xbud light and I had an 2xAllagash. Good size portions and there was plenty offlavor. Service was quick. Waitress was helpful and checked on us a few times. Total $60 before tip. If we're in the areaagain we will go there. Read more
Omg new favorite barbecue joint! Me and my hubs smoke meats at home so we are super picky about our barbecue and this place... impressed us greatly! Had a great time here last month while out to lunch. Keep in mind that good food, let alone good barbecue, isn’t cheap. That... being said, if you are a barbecue fan and are within reasonable driving distance of Black Dog, you MUST check this place out.The menu is varied and you simply cannot go wrong. We hosted our welcome dinner the night before our wedding (100+ guests) at Black dog bar and Grill. Things cannot have gone any... better— the food was excellent, the planning process was seamless, the space was set up perfectly and the staff truly wentabove and beyond. We are so, so thankful and appreciative of everyone that works there. The staff really cared and it showed,the management team were VERY thoughtful. Megan and Abbey made us feel like priority number one during planning and as the nighttook place. We had so much fun that we even went back the next night after our wedding and still the staff was very pleasant! IfI could give 10 stars, I would. Thank you for all you do and keep up the good work.
