I visited Applebee's to take advantage of their free veterans day meal. The steak and friendly service was excellent.
Went to Applebee's on Veterans day. They were serving a free meal to all vets and active duty personnel. They had a nice... selection of entrees on a separate menu. I had a 6oz sirloin steak with mash potatoes and broccoli. Steak was cookedperfectly as was the broccoli. The restaurant was very full but service was quick and the food seem to come very fast. It?s Applebees, the menu is severely limited, the beer is probably not fit for human consumption, I could taste the pipes in the... beer and on top of it the server took thrifty minutes to bring me the beer after dropping off the tables other drinks and theonly reason I got it at all was as because I chased down a server and asked. The food was mediocre at best ingredients did nottaste terribly fresh food took forever to come out. Service overall was inattentive served burgers with maybe five fries askedfor another order of fries, that never came. The booths were so cramped we were basically sitting on top of each other. I am a little puzzled. The had a lot of empty seats but I had to wait 20 minutes to be seated. The only thing I can think of is... they are short on kitchen staff. Service was great, other than the waitress dropped my straw on the floor, she said she wouldbring another. 2 refills and 4 returns to the table later, no straw... It was not really that busy. Was never an Applebee's fan due to a bad food experience I had years ago with them, but they've definitely gotten better. The 2... for $30 deal is what we went for which includes either two salads or one appetizer followed by two delicious entree's. Killerdeal if you ask me! Not a place I'd frequent, but I feel comfortable saying I wouldn't turn it down now. Read more
According to the song, I was expecting a dance night out with the kiddos and their aunt. Waited only about 10 minutes to get a... table. Server took our orders super quick and appetizers showed up not long after. The wonton chicken tacos were light andtasted great. Same for the spinach and artichoke dip. Service, as far as water refills and attention was pretty non existant. Wedidn't see our server again after ordering. We had a kids chicken quesadilla, two bacon cheeseburgers/fries, and a chickenCeasar salad. Burgers came dry, no condiments and pretty sorry looking. My chicken Ceasar salad was pretty sorry for what theycharge. Had pieces of shrimp and some kind of sautéed mushroom. I'm allergic to shellfish so waited for the server to come backbye while everyone proceeded to eat their food, only. To never see her again. Overall can't suggest this place to anyone anddefinitely won't ever be back. Super overpriced for what seems like generic run down restaurant. Can't reccomend anything andwould look to any one of the chains for better fare at a better price. Sad as we were looking forward to our first time here. Read more
The atmosphere is great, service was great. I ordered baby back ribs. They were trimmed tighter than I've ever seen. There was... no meat on the bones, just between them. I can't normally eat a whole rack. But I are the whole rack and left hungry. Read more
