Weird experience here. They lost our order and had to come back out to retake it. Not even five minutes later our food was out.... I thought it was odd to be able to cook two entrees that quickly, my boyfriend ordered three ground beef tacos and I ordered thecoconut shrimp tacos. After he got through one taco I noticed the meat was pretty pink in some areas and pointed it out to him.It wasn?t too bad but definitely way too raw for a restaurant to be serving. He let the waiter know and they took it off ourbill for us. We were actually discussing how we would come back and try something else because their menu looks very good, whenthe (I?m assuming) owner/manager came out and tried to pass off the raw meat as paprika. I was floored when she claimed that thepink was paprika as their meat is cooked to temperature and they use lots of paprika, she said. I almost argued back but I chosenot to. My boyfriend and I love cooking at home and paprika is personally one of my favorite spices to cook with. I add it tomeat, fried eggs, all the way to ramen. It?s a dark red. It is not bright pink and most certainly does not show up as pink ondark meat. It cooks in and you wouldn?t be able to see it. We were both offended this lady couldn?t just be honest and say ?Hey,the food came out too early because the cooks were rushing since they lost your order.? We 100% would have considered revisitingbut not anymore. We probably had a rare bad experience but being lied to is on another level. Maybe she didn?t think we knewwhat paprika looks like, lol. Very good food, drinks and service. Large restaurant that can accommodate groups/parties. Also a large bar with outdoor... seating. Has been a go to for my family dating back decades. (Different ownership over the years) Give them a try. Read more
Google maps says they close at 10 but they close at 9:30 now, showed up there at 9:10 and they told us but still said it was... okay for us to order and sit down the fact they were basically closed didn't effect their attitudes they were very nice, thefood was perfect its presentation was superb and was full of flavor I would definitely be going back but not at 20 minutesbefore they close lol. Ordered from here for takeout a few times. 2nd time food order was incorrect. New person, It happens, so I waited 20 mins to get... my food. The last time I ordered the Cancun Platter which said "Real crabmeat, fresh prawns and chicken". Well I didn't get anycrab. Don't know if they didn't have any and didn't want to call me back or figured since it was to go, I wouldn't come back. Idon't know. I do like the food but don't know if I will get what I ordered. We had a semi big group (9) that sat in the bar area and Marta took care of us like a pro! The service was so excellent, that... it's worth the drive to go back, and that's high praise! I got carne asada tacos with beans and rice. The meat was perfect andchopped into little pieces that made it easier to get the flavors of everything.
