Still wonderful food and service, and beautiful yard with nice flowers. It's been some years since we visited giovanni before... covid, it was a fantastic last time. A bit worried coming back in as we lately had unpleasant experiences at some othereateries, but here turned out to be a good decision. Love their pizza and appetizers. thick crust pizza with delicious fullyloaded toppings, that giovanni special is really a divine! the jalapeno dip makes everything tastier. Service is still amazing.Was a little chilly in the evening, but the servers are so friendly, making you feel warm and relaxed. Would definitely returnagain when in the qualicum downtown. Read more

We had dinner with another couple last week. Unfortunately we all found our food quite bland. The veal marsala and pasta dishes... . It looked like only 1 mushroom was used for the veal dish ! Quite disappointing. The worst was the noise from the kitchenarea - clatter of moving stacked dishes back and forth constantly, banging. 3 times we all jumped from the sudden loud noises. Read more

Linguine dish was an additional $18 for a small amount of chicken and 3 (giant????) prawns that were overcooked. No parmsran but... a dry mix in a shaker. Pesto chicken pizza was excellent. Creme Brule was absolutely awful! Curdled, complete liquid on thebottom (obviously frozen) and the top was burned mush...topped with whipped cream and a cheap wafer cookie. They exchanged itfor a chocolare mousse which was very tasty. Should know better than to send out such a terrible product. Read more

I ordered the veal parmesan. When it came to the table the veal was so overdone it could not be cut with my knife, roasted... potatoes were hard over done rocks. The server was kind enough to offer free desert however the pizza ordered by my spouse wasvery good. I would only recommend the pizza. Read more

Over-dressed salad, pasta sauce was bland and watery. Maybe we?d have been better off ordering the pizza? Menu prices reflect... high-end Italian cuisine but meal left much to be desired. I don?t foresee a second visit. Read more

5 stars because after being turned away for being a group of 6 with no reservations, the hostess made some space in the lounge... and told us that we probably wouldn?t have luck elsewhere with no plans. The food was decent, the wait was a little long, but noone was disappointed in their food. Read more
