Great food and staff were lovely! Even though they were very busy and probably short staffed, they didn't make you feel their... pressures! They were friendly and smiled a lot. I had the prawn Cobb salad - it was lightly dressed with perfectly tender and flavourful prawns. Our waiter was funny and... attentive. The view was gorgeous. The creme brulé not too sweet, delicately Earl Grey flavoured, and generous in portion. Theonly thing I would say that wasn't great was the air quality inside this place. We sat on the patio luckily, but walkingthrough the inside on our way in and out - stuffy and smelly, despite numerous open windows and ceiling fans... This restaurant, pub has an incredible view of the Coastal mountains on the mainland. You can see a very long ways and glaciers... on several mountains. The food is really delicious and well presented. The prices are quite reasonable, too! I liked the casualenvironment, and people of all ages patron this wonderful pub / restaurant. It is a lovely, clean and comfortable environment. Iwould recommend Shady's to everyone! Read more

Very good value for the money paid, plus a FANTASTIC view of the ocean. Friendly staff and a comfy "at home" vibe. The food is... comparable to a perfect home cooked meal away from home and is a nice change of pace from the other restaurants I ate at (notthat they were bad! Stopped here on the way back to Victoria for lunch and the food was good. We had a burger and a beef dip and the portions were a... good size. I had ceasar salad with my burger and it was large and covered in shaved parmesan cheese. Bright and friendlysurroundings as well. Read more

The restaurant is busy. The staff is checking the proof of vaccination very carefully ????. The patio is facing the ocean with... awesome views. We ordered Fishman pie and a pizza. The pie is 3 star but the pizza is definitely 5 star! Read more
