Very delicious food Great beer experience Delicious dessert Just seems they have a special policy to play some games which... seems they like you leave there. We arrived at 4:30 pm. Their staff said the kitchen will start at 5:30 pm, we were ok and sat.At 5:15 pm they said they have too many orders in queue and the kitchen load is horrible maybe they start it at 6 pm and if weare in rush we can leave???? we couldn't get the point and said we r not in rush and it was ok. 5 min later, our waiter cameand took the order and we have our order 15 min after that???? You can see the pictures, the inside was empty and the onlycustomers were those who sat outside! BTW the taste and location are worth to try it???? Read more
The staff were very friendly, the food was good though a bit pricey, but the best part of the experience was sitting on the... terrace and watching all the people go by and play the ring game on the nearby sidewalk. I loved the historic vibe in the heartof Old Quebec City. It was a great way to top off a morning spent exploring the galleries in the lower part of the city. We tookthe funicular up the steep hillside and ended up just steps from the restaurant where we easily got a seat facing the sidewalk. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience. Read more

If you're in the old part of Quebec City, try this place - you won't be disappointed. This is the 2nd time I've eaten at 1640... Bistro. Both times I went with a group of 6 or 7 and we were seated quickly. Service was very friendly and quick. Food wasamazing each time. A few of us ordered different types of pizzas and they were incredibly rich with flavour - much much betterthan pizzerias that consider themselves authentic. The only complaint that we had was that the spaghetti entree in the regularmenu and the childrens' menu were the same size...except the one ordered from the regular menu cost $9 dollars more. The food was relatively good but quite expensive and the service was not great. The pizza was pretty good but the pasta was kind... of dry. The onion soup was quite good and the ribs were also tender but slightly dry. Overall, I don’t think the food wasworth the price but yummy nonetheless Read more
