The quintessential Quebec bakery After several disappointing experiences in old Quebec (the tourist section) we came across this... wonderful local bakery. On 3 separate visits we were able to try most of its fruit tartelette. See pictures - every single onewas made to perfection. Fruits were fresh and the crusts were delicate. Delicious - be it cream, custard, etc. The croissantrouge is also a marvel - crispy and filled with strawberry compote. The cappuccino is heaven! Made with skill and care, it isserved in a glass cup to showcase the multiple layers. It is then topped off with fluffy milk foam. Loved the service. Friendly,helpful, consistent. This is now my favourite bakery in all of Quebec and will likely occupy my sugar dreams until I return. Read more
Stopped for other croissants along the way (what else should one do when visiting), and this was by farrr the best pan chocolate... I?ve had in a long time. Warm, flaky, perfect. We loved this place so much we came back twice! First time I had a breakfast sandwich cappuccino & danish. My son ate the... croissant though I had to taste it Second time I had a veggie pate sandwich & millefeuille and strawberry eclair The pastrieshad crunch still. It was a tough week cause it rained almost everyday so the humidity is killer to pastries. The danish hadvanilla pastry cream under the fruit. I was in heaven. The millefeuille was the perfect sweetness and had crunch to it which isgreat. I?d definitely go back if I come visit again. The sandwiches were good too. I love how they heat them up in a mini grillor mini oven here. It wasn?t just this bakery, so much better than the microwave. Read more
