Really good tofu katsu curry. Could have used a bit more rice and sauce though and for some reason it’s served with a soup... spoon as opposed to a regular spoon making it hard to eat. Almost perfect if not for those things. Service was good. Very loudenvironment. Read more

Tasty good food, nice ambiance, it could be a bit loud and warm but would still recommend. Make sure to get reservations because... the place fills up quick The oknomiyaki was quite large and filling, a good meal to share. Would recommend getting themushroom tempura. Nice and fresh with a nice sesame sauce For the yakitori, we got chicken skin, chicken thighs and pork belly. The chicken ones good but our favorite was the pork belly They got nice drinks, well serviced in English and overall veryfriendly Read more

The food was really good, however the restaurant was far too noisy. I don't normally think that about restaurants but I... literally couldn't hear my husband across the table from me. The chicken yakitori was delicious and the okonomiyaki was goodtoo. The drink was amazing, it's called Chiquita, it was off the virgin cocktail list. Read more

This place was our best discovery, our special gem during the whole weekend spent at Quebec! Great ambiance, very nice waiters... and absolutely delicious food! We had beef tataki, pulled pork dumplings, sausages, chicken skin and mushroom (King eryngi)skewers and white fish tartar served on rice with seaweed papers. Everything was exquisite! I'm still trying to process howthose mushrooms were the best I've ever had in my life... Read more

We reserved the kitchen counter seating but I would suggest getting a seat at the bar as the view of the kitchen is limited and... nothing like a sushi bar. We ordered the mescal and the Old fashioned (with the hibiki whiskey and 10 year aged Sochu).Thedrinks were fantastic and Possibly the best old fashioned I have had anc worth the $$$. We ordered multiple sharing plates. Thestandout dishes were the mushroom fritters and the pork. The disappointments were the Wagyu grill( it was luke warm and notcharred like it should be) and the vegetable curry (gravy reminded me of the packaged brown gravy; fried tofu was great on itsown). I came across this place and read the reviews that this place is very popular and top rated. I didn’t have a reservation made,... so I arrived few minutes earlier before it opened - I was surprised to find out there were lines forming to this place evenbefore they opened. I managed to get seated right away, and ordered a cocktail and a Okonomiyaki with pork. Cocktail wassuggested me (not on the menu) based on my preference, and it fit my expectation perfectly. The okonomiyaki was very verydelicious as well. I was happily full after. I was greeted by friendly staffs, enjoyed my dinner, and hope to visit this placeagain in the future. Read more

It was a decent Japanese restaurant but in the end, but coming from Vancouver, I was expecting more. I was hoping that the... marinated quail eggs were soft boiled with runny yolk but they were hard boiled instead which was disappointing. The calamarisalad was interesting and I personally liked the sauce and the interesting texture with the half boiled potatoes. But myfavourite was the mushroom tempura. It was tasty with good crispy breading but I wish that they did a more traditional Japanesetempura sauce. The agedashi tofu was pretty good and I liked that they provided a fresh bonito flakes that we can addourselves. The yakitori skewers were the most disappointing, I think. The chicken skin was a bit too salty and the leeks weretoo tough and not sweet enough. The curry as an entree was pretty good, especially with the chicken karage for additionaltexture. I had mixed experience with the food but the staff was very friendly and I can see that they are trying to make goodJapanese food. Read more
