The restaurant claims to be fancy but it is not exactly. The food was not bad, but not that good. It's not worth the price. The... portions were huge. They were flexible with changing the ingredients in the dishes. The service was kind but very slow. It tooka long time for the dishes to arrive at the table. Menu only in French and the waiter was patient and explained about each dishthat was asked. The atmosphere was nice, the place was very darkened. Read more

Enjoyed my carbonara dish but not worth the price. However the restaurant is located in the main touristy area in the old town... in Quebec City so I can imagine the cost to run the place. Since it?s situated in a very busy corner, cleanliness is not asimportant it seems. The table smelled musty which affected my dining experience. Our waitress was nice and helpful. Read more

Went to Quebec city for a birthday celebration and chose this restaurant based on reviews. Amazing ambiance, great food, staff... super friendly/attentive and had the best carbonara. They even brought out a piece of cake complimentary, which was a lovelyunexpected surprise. They also had live music which was great(not sure if this is on every night).Would definitely come backwhen in Quebec city and highly recommend.Thank you for a lovely evening! Read more

I was surprised by some of the negative reviews of Portofino Brasserie. We are visiting QC for the first time and stumbled upon... this very quaint restaurant. Everything we tried we really enjoyed. So much so we visited twice on this trip. We found the foodand the service be very good. During our first visit we split the arancini appetizer (excellent). I got the gnocchi (verygood)and my husband got the lasagna (excellent). The portions were huge! On our second visit, we split the fondues au parmesan(very tasty). We got the pizza (really good - they have a great pizza oven) and the mushroom risotto. Again the portions werehuge. Well worth the money. Read more

Excellent place, cozy, kinda small, soft lights. The menu very broad, and the food was 100/100 Didn?t try dessert because we... were too full. Wine was really fine Read more

This is some of the best food I?ve ever eaten. A lot of people are mentioning it?s not worth the price, but it?s all done in... house and that takes time and effort to perfect. This is a must for my parent?s whenever they visit Quebec City, so since I?dnever been they told me we should go and honestly everything about here was amazing. A+ to the atmosphere, the staff, and theAbsolutely to die for food. I can?t wait to go back. Read more

Food is not bad, but it is not worth the price. We ordered a Calamari ($18), French Onion Soup ($14), Seafood Linguine ($35),... and a Shrimp Pizza ($34). Calamari and soup are good but do not match up to the price. Service is good. Ambience is notbad. All in all, we just feel you can get much more premium food and ambience for this kind of prices.
