It was my first time in Quebec and we were looking for a sushi place to eat. Most of the 4-4.5 star places had some concerning... reviews but I somehow stumbled across Samurai which was around 3.5 for some reason, the place looked cute in the photos so Idecided to call and take a reservation, the person on the other side of the phone who also happened to be our waiter when gotthere, named Jack (funnily enough! Same name), was very Hospitable, funny and kind. We?ve been to many all you can eat sushiplaces around the country, but never have we had quality this GOOD and service is IMPECCABLE. Our orders were kept track ofwith a sheet, and Jack was coming to our table with each order and crossing it off the list and at the same time pointing toeach item and letting us know which is which. I have never seen any sushi place in Canada do this, normally our orders gomissing and they just drop a bunch of sushi on our table and run off. Not at this place. Experience was perfect, food waspristine, and service was 10/10. Also I recommend the matcha green tea ice cream for dessert, the best we ever had. Read more
Nice AYCE (all-you-can-eat) Sushi close to Old Quebec This restaurant is located right across from Gare du Palais, the old... train station, and a beautiful Place Jean-Pelletier park with a beautiful fountain. It?s about 10 minutes walk to the OldQuebec. It was our first time back to this place since the Pandemic, the food is still quite decent, ingredients fresh, tempuralight and crunchy, donburi deliciously prepared. You can definitely tell the effect of the Pandemic thiug, there was only oneperson serving multiple tables (he did an excellent job though), one lady guarding the cash register, so some dishes took awhile to come out, all very understandable. Price was up a bit as well, $35.99 for adults and $24.99 for kids 4-11, babies eatfor free. There were 8 of us, and they were super accommodating to seat our booth tables together, without a reservation. Wehad an excellent family meal. Recommend to someone with a good appetite! Read more
Very good buffet , I recommend the place , rice was moist didn?t have a problem with any of my order ! Enjoy the dishes that I... was served! Went there on a busy Wednesday and unfortunately they were short staff but the two waiters , 1 cook and 1 dishwalker really worked like machines! The ambiance is open, lots of natural light, and warm welcome from the waiters serving. The food is absolutely fresh, and very... delicious! People complain at times about waiting long, but you wait for the freshness. The chef's make every meal fresh themoment it's ordered. I went with my two boys, 9 and 16, and myself middle aged, and we loved it!! Great job Sushi Samurai!!Can't wait to come back ???? Read more
First time here and it was great all you can eat restaurant! The food was good but the service was excellent! They went over and... beyond with us! The staff was very accommodating for our vegan friend. Quality of the fish is excellent and they have a hugemenu to try! Would recommend if you love all you can eat! Read more
We tried the ala carte menu instead of the all you can eat, since we went there late in the evening and they were trying to... close the kitchen. Owner was super friendly and nice to deal with. Some of the rolls were good others like the Dragon andrainbow rolls were average at best. Read more
It was a delighted to have friend to supper here. Food is good. However, we order initially 15piece of salmon, only came 5. So... we thought it was a mistake, then we try another round of 20, they gave us the same amount of the first 5, but thinly sliced.It's trickery right? Ok, I can pass on that. However, at paying, we were 4adults, 3 kids. (8+5+4). We were told that we ate toomuch... So they have to charges us 4 adults and 2 kids price.... What?? We will not come back. If you can't give food, thendon't publicize you are all you can eat. Our kids didn't eat much anyways... Plus COVID pricing in effect. Read more
Spectacular customer service. Our server was ON THE BALL wow! Quick - delicious - diverse menu. Our server went above and... beyond and made the experience rememberable. Both of us not being Francophones, our server made us feel welcomed and went out ofhis way to ensure we had a delightful experience.
