Just a few tables (like 3) and the food took more than 30min to arrive to us. Small portions and overpriced. The enchilada... didn’t have any beans, the birria not that tasty, calamari was too small. $70 not worth it. I visited the place because ofsocial media and it was not as good as it seems to be. This place is aesthetically adorable but that’s probably the only thing it really has going for it. When we arrived there was... only one other table. It took us about 30 minutes to put our order in as the workers sat around the bar. The service we receivedwas subpar in almost every way. Our order was taken wrong and the take out order we put in wasn’t started until we asked forour check. The food was mediocre, lacking any real flavor or pasión behind it, some of it was even served cold. The cherry ontop of our mediocre dining experience was the automatic gratuity added to our check. Never in a million years would we have leftthe tip we had to leave if it weren’t for their automatic gratuity. They don’t have to worry about their subpar service whenthey are automatically ensured a 20% tip! Read more
The worst Mexican food that I had in my life. It came late, the food was not warm. There was no salsa or sour cream with a $15... burrito except two half empty packages. Everything was dry and overcooked. We got the $30 taco deal, each one was worse than thenext one. Spent your hard earned money elsewhere this place is a dump. Read more
Must said I love to stay local, no need to go to the city to find great food and service. Barrio Taqueria in Astoria is a great... example of it. Relax and fresh concept, plenty of outdoor seating. Really loved this place. Got a spicy margarita and mezcal old fashioned for myself and my girlfriend got a regular Marg, all of... which were awesome. The tequila they use (libulela I think) is one I'll be searching for. The food comes our super quick and isvery well made, everything tastes made in house even down to the pickled jalapeños. The nachos we got were huge and are not tobe underestimated. After the nachos we only had room, and barely so, for one taco each. Had been at Barrio Taqueria a couple of times after the new administration and I am absolutely amazed of the new food and drinks... menu, you got it try the brunch Saturday and Sunday from 12pm-4pm for bottomless Brunch, David is an amazing bartender andIsrael has such an excellent customer service alone with Alejandra.
