It doesn't have Chingunae anymore. They'd changed to a new restaurant under the name Daori. The same owner with "Hahm Ji Bach"

Just had lunch there, the ban chan (small side dishes) were surprisingly delicious. The outdoor dining setup was pretty... comfortable with plastic barriers and hand sanitizer. Read more

I visited this location with my friends on a whim, and I was blown away . They have great variety of food (I heavily recommend... the Squid Bokk-eum Sliced squid with stir-fried vegetables and sliced pork in a spicy sauce if you're looking for somethingflavorful and spicy ) and the staff was very attentive and friendly. I met the owner during my visit and I would come back justfor how well she treats her patrons alone. she treated us like a part of her own family. They have adjusted well to thepandemic and have in my opinion the best outdoor dining set up of the restaurants on the strip ( you cannot grill your own fooddue to nyc mandate, but I'm hoping that changes soon) Food pricing is Fair and transparent Recommended for both experiencedand newcomers to Korean BBQ Read more

SOUTH KOREA ???????? Eat the World NYC review: It has always been around here and there, but in recent years the... pojangmacha-style Korean pub format seems to be taking over New York City's Korean food scene, especially in and around MurrayHill, Queens. Another new establishment, opened up earlier this year, is Chingunae Pocha, a bustling and friendly place thatseems to get a good crowd. Sometimes many of these type of pubs do not get truly busy until close to midnight, but Chingunaeseems to thread the line between dinner and late night drinking and might be full even if you show up at 8 or 9pm. Part of thismight be because their decent happy hour food specials, large format dishes best enjoyed with a group of at least four. Alsomake sure your group comes ready to drink soju, as they serve many varieties like any respectable pocha (short for pojangmacha)should. Korean drinking culture must involve surrounding yourself with good friends and good food. Actually the food needs to begood, but the friends can become good by the end of the night. Having only a party of two for this meal, the options for a fullfeast were limited, but the stir-fried pork belly and squid ($35) was a great choice that provided for quite a bit of leftoversas well. Once the fire was on and our server mixed everything together, each bite was full of many textures and flavors, allbrought together by the lovely spicy sauce. Read more

I was a little disappointed that this place is not like those tradition kbbq places where they grill the meat in front of you... and like they don't have much beef options such as galbi or such... Mostly pork and chicken and seafood and stirfry style. But Ihave to say their stirfry pork belly was actually pretty good! They give you veggies and let you mix it in... And can also askfor rice to blend in with it making it taste like bibimbap. The pork belly is good though. Their drinks were decently priced aswell. We ordered the seafood pancake but I was quite disappointed... It was really plain and not as crispy. However their takowasabi (raw octopus) was super fresh and delicious! Must try it!! Read more
