This was so disappointing. After hearing about the hype I was excited to finally try it when it came to a town near me. I... ordered ahead on the app and it wasn't ready when I got there (despite saying it was ready). People who came and ordered afterme got there's before me. We finally tried this lobster food truck to see what all the hype was about in Jamesburg, NJ the other day. Well, the hype was... not earned IMO. We tried the Maine and the Connecticut lobster rolls, well, they were cooked well but lacked anything special.Just ordinary cooked lobster on soggy rolls. The Maine lobster roll actually had the mayonnaise on the roll itself and not onthe lobster, no wonder they wrote ?M? on the box for that roll, or otherwise we wouldn?t have known just by looking at it.$20.50 for the roll would seem reasonable based on today?s inflationary atmosphere, but it should have blown me away, however itdidn?t. I love this truck I follow them not only in the Bronx but their location is Asbury as well. My favorite is the Connecticut with... the chips the lobster meat is so juicy and full of flavor. And the crunchiness of the chips just gives it a different texture. I love both soups the clam chowder and the lobster bisque. My partner loves the tater tots she loves the tomato?s in the dish. We were on Roosevelt Island for the 4th of July and got the chance to see the truck and to try the Lobster tots and the Maine... Lobster roll. Both were good but not terribly noteworthy. Since its lobster it's not cheap and the roll will set you back $23. Read more
This locale in Danbury Ct. is only open once a month right now (April 2022). The prices seem to be the same as in Manhattan... area, food was great. 2 small soups, 1 lobster quesadilla & 1 lobster & shrimp taco came to $75 with a tip. I personally likethem so it?s not a biggie for me but with that being said, for $75 I would prefer a sit down restaurant, I am just not sure thatthe quality as good and that I could find Gluten Free options in a restaurant where this place kills it with GF!
