They have two sections. Front and back room. The front room plays loud music. Backroom, plays soft chill music. We went to the... Backroom. We was chilling and have an beautiful time. We order some advertisers and entry for our main course. The advertisersand main entry came out together. No room on the small table to hold this food. We sent the main entry back. It came out tofast. After about 45mins later, we wanted our main entry. We both ordered a salmon dinner. The dish was cold when they boughtit back. They took the dish back to heat it up. The dish, still came back cold. They refused to correct the problem. Waiters andwaitress, needs better training to handle certain types of situations. Not a good place. Until they fix this problem. Our first time at the Cove Restaurant in Rosedale Queens for an impromptu farewell dinner. We were seated immediately. We all... had the chicken soup to start which was flavorful. We had a variety of entrees - curried goat, oxtail, oxtail roti, escovietchfish and salmon in coconut sauce. The portions were huge for the price. The only drawback was the food was lukewarm. Food was great service was... typical for a west Indian restaurant. Decent music off of pandora but I guess whoever was playing... the music shares the account with someone because it kept getting interrupted. Who would have known? The servers here are amazing, the food here is a MUST TASTE if you want some jamaican food. So far, I... only had what you see in the pictures. But I can tell and pretty much imagine that everything else is good. I will probably tryoxtails next time just to see, but the Ackee and saltfish is good and the dumplings are soft, fluffy, crispy and so good. Nice little restaurant. Ambiance and atmosphere was very nice. Food was really good. Service was ok kinda on the slow side,... however the waitress had a great attitude. Rum punch was really good. I visited Cove last night with some friends and I thoroughly enjoyed my time and my food. Once you open the door you step into... a beautiful ambiance. The music is a vibe and the hostess and waitress were friendly. Now let?s get to the food!! We ordered theescovitch wings, chicken soup and calamari for starters: DELICIOUS! For our mains we ordered Jerk Chicken, Salmon in CoconutSauce, Curry Goat and I had the Snapper in Coconut Sauce with a side of Bammy, When we were done all of our plates were CLEAN!No leftovers!! It was an overall good experience. The restaurant itself on the inside was really classy lighting, decor not over done at all.... I can picture a nice dinner party being done here. Our server for the night was really professional and fun. He was able tomake recommendations to the menu and while everything was a recommend he was able to say why. So you get the idea that he hasactually eaten dishes or at least tasted dishes on the menu. The drinks were a plus plus plus. No complaints no can I get anextra shot request to top up a drink. The food was soooooo good. Like who has ever used the word taste good when describingokra. From the appetizers to the entree everything was really good. I had the calamari, crispy without being over battered,didn't need sauce at all, my friends had a shrimp appetizer that they loved. We all had some variance of snapper for ourentrées and they were delish. The snapper in coconut sauce and brown stew were our choices. Me and my boyfriend went around five pm to check out their happy hour. This place is amazing!! It is beautifully decorated and... the ambiance is amazing. The music was on point they were jamming but the fooooooood tho!! I had the oxtail roti and he hadoxtails with rice and peas and veggies. Everything was cooked to perfection and perfectly seasoned. We both had their rum punchand it was strong and good!! I can?t wait to go again and try something else! I def recommend checking this place out a fewtimes! Read more
