Darbar chicken over rice used to be a go to family favorite. Unfortunately over the past couple of months, the food portion and... quality has gone downhill. The only reason I returned today was to give them the benefit of the doubt, thought they were justhaving an ?off- day? the last time. Sadly, I was mistaken. Ordered Lamb Chops and Chicken Tenddies . Their chicken is amazing! Staff is nice and fast. Only issue was lamb chops was a... huge upset. I practically got all fat and no meat, one piece but this is a great establishment. They have other great options aswell. Read more
This is one of my favorite places to get a lamb burger. I?ve never had success with delivery so I decided to start picking my... orders up thinking it would enhance my experience. After my last two visits with this local spot I don?t think I?ll be orderingagain. Most recently, I called ahead to place an order for pick up. I arrived 25 mins later only to wait an additional 40 minsfor my food! When asked where my food was it seemed like they only started to prepare it upon my arrival. I was taken back bytheir poor time management considering it was not a busy time of day. The staff was inconsiderate and unpleasant and showed nourgency in the preparation of my order nor did they offer an apology. To make matters worse my burger was tasteless, watery, andwas missing some of the ingredients it typically came with. Read more
The service at Darbar?s has depreciated over the last year. Customer service sucks and the quality of food has been effected. I... used to order from them for a decade and after my last meal there, I will be taking my business elsewhere. I placed a phoneorder and I asked how long would it take to pick up, the lady who took my order stated 25 minutes. It?s a Sunday evening, after8:30. I got there 30 minutes after I placed the order. I told the cashier I was there for a pick up (2 lamb burger deluxe meals)she said it will be another 5 minutes. I understood and waited. Three other people came in during the now 30 minute wait andwere served while I waited patiently. Once the cashier saw the disappointment on my face, she then just stayed at the back. Iasked Another lady who was mopping the floor behind the counter how much longer it would really be- because now it?s been 45minutes waiting in the restaurant and an hour and five minutes since placing the order. The lady who took the payment then cameafter close to an hour with the order and said ?here?s your order. Take two cans of soda.? No apology as to why our food tookthis long. No thank you for being patient. Just straight up disregard for customers. Had I known it would have taken so long, Iwould have just placed the delivery- which by the way also takes that long and wouldn?t have made the 30 minute walk to pick upthe food. FYI- when placing an order for delivery, when you call to check the status they always say ?your food is with thedelivery guy? they pin the lack of professionalism on the delivery person, when clearly it?s piss poor time management. AND totop it all off, the burger was bland, and didn?t have the jalapeños which is in the description. Read more
Such a shame.. guys, you need to do better! Few of the last times I thought I got them on a bad day, but no, this is just how it... is now. This place used to have the best fried chicken. Now it's always over fried, burnt, dry, and way too salty without any ofthe original spices. Could not even eat the chicken, had to literally throw it away. ???? The fried rice is too salty and beefin the rice was bad. The general tso chicken was just balls of flour and salt. What's with all the salt and over fryingeverything? They don't give enough hot sauce, only gave 2 sauce total when I asked for extra on a order of 4 items. Waste ofmoney. Never ordering from Darbar again. ???? Read more
They have literally the most affordable food options in liberty ave, queens. Great prices, many options, fresh, tasty, great... customer service, clean and affordable. Great location also. Walking distance for laundromats, shopping, grocery shopping,salons and barbers, etc. Recommendation: They need some finishing touches in the unit (painting, new furniture, more cleaning). Read more
Wow was in the area and was looking for a snack so Googled what was close by. I saw a picture of short ribs and wanted to... try. The staff was super friendly and if you use the app you can get 20% off. I initially tried the short ribs and chickenand both good items. What really made it for me was the spicy sauce they have. Great flavor and nice kick. After that Ihad to try more so I got a burger and jerk chicken sandwich. Burger was good and was fresh. The jerk chicken had a n verynice kick with great jerk flavors. I asked the employee when did they open and she said 21 YEARS ago!!!! I was in shockbecause the interior looks brand new. Great local find and will definitely be back. The food was fresh . Chicken was good , however, I ask for extra pepper sauce , they give me ONE and a whole lot of hot sauce (... vinegar water) I spent $60 at least give me two container of pepper sauce and keep all the hot sauce for those that can?thandle their spice . Read more
