Daxi’s location is very good. It’s in the New World Mall, as soon as you get off the No. 7 subway. There are various small... shops inside, including the Asian Super League and karaoke bars. You can also visit supermarkets and small shops whileeating. The restaurant’s decoration is very special and stylish, mahogany window lattices and tables, leather sofas, full ofChinese elements everywhere, full of festive atmosphere. Daxi’s Sichuan cuisine combines many different varieties of spicinessand is very delicate. Rice doesn’t come with the dishes. It is $1 a bowl. Read more

I have been eating here for a few years. Today I came here again with friends. I will start with the pros and then the cons. The... big pro is that their variety of Sichan dishes is ver good. A single name of spicy soup can have different flavors when the meatis beef, fish, or frog. The sticky rice stick is yummy with brown sugar and bean powder. I also like the fragrant chicken soup.The cauliflower is great and kids love it. The decor is good with a happy and prosperous traditional Chinese feeling. Now thecons. Some dishes have obviously lower quality. The bean sprouts are not tender. Frog meat is dry. The servers used plasticspoons for a bowl of delicious chicken soup. Some dishes are bland with not enough salt. Here and there, I have to say thedetails is lacking here. To make every dish an art requires true effort from chef, servers, etc. A pursuit of high quality foodand an everlasting passion is essential. Food: Lamb chops have strong cumin flavor topping on a base of nicely charred potato chunks. Pork liver’s flavor is fully... brought out by fresh green pepper and slathered in sauce ( which makes it a true rice-killer). Pickled fish soup has the perfectbalance of sourness and spice, and the fish slices are soft and chewy, indicator of it being from a freshly killedfish. Ambience: Spacious, we got window side couch seats. Nostalgic Jay Chou song playing in the background. Service: Fast andfriendly, waiters have fashionable hair cuts. my favorite go to place in flushing when I’m not sure what to eat or just eating out with friends and family. Their portions... are good for a fair price point. I always get the same dishes and it never fails to disappoint!!! My favorites would be thefried spicy pork with shrimp, the mushroom vegetables dish and the cold spicy chicken. Just note that majority of the dishes arespicy since Szechuan is known for their spicy mala cuisine. So don’t complain about it if you can’t handle it!! Read more
