Don?t bother with this place. They close whenever they feel like it. Even if the worker is there at 7:30 and he?s ready to go,... he won?t make you a bowl. This spot is great. Surrounded by other awesome food spots and a hip bar, Edible Island stands out. The owners grew up in the... neighborhood and are as cool and down to earth as can be. Mikey and Dylan make epic poke bowls. I usually go with the tuna orsalmon over rice, mixed with the spicy mayo and seaweed salad. You can?t go wrong with any options though. Edible Island Rocks! I had my first "Edible Island" Poke Bowl this past memorial day weekend and it was the best Poke Bowl I've... had since Maui! I'll break down why Edible Island is a place you should 100% try into 3 main buckets. 1. Fresh & Delicious 2.Great Ambiance 3. Friendly Staff 1. I'm somewhat of an a'fish'ionado <-- see what I did there? The tuna that Edible Islandserved in their Poke bowl was noticeably fresh and delicious. I've had bowls in the past where sometimes the poke is chewy, notthe case with Edible Island - plus they had so many variations of bowls and toppings! 2. I got to eat the bowl outside with theocean breeze, live music, children laughing and dancing, and new friends that I met on the boardwalk! I spent three hourshanging out alternating between chilling and eating on the boardwalk and taking periodic dips in the ocean - what better way tospend a sunny Saturday?? 3. Mikey and Dylan were the best! Dylan's mustache is soo good too you have to check it out! Butreally, both of these guys were genuinely nice guys and even hung out on the boardwalk after they closed up. I was looking to find a quick but filling bite to eat while on my visit...they did not disappoint whatsoever! Their food had... fantastic flavor and honestly so filling.
