One of the best Indian Restaurants I’ve ever visited. Their menu which includes Southern Indian dishes is extensive. The... spinach or coconut soups are amazing. The food is perfectly spiced and they’re happy to adjust the “heat” to your liking.I love this place and highly recommend! Read more

Forest Hills Indian Cuisine (formally known as Aaheli Indian restaurant) on Yellowstone Blvd in Forest Hills is relatively new... and such a wonderful addition to the neighborhood! The food here is always fresh and delicious, offering both North Indian andSouth Indian cuisine. Everything here is homemade! The menu also includes both vegetarian & meat options. This restaurant issuch a gem in Forest Hills! They offer free home delivery and open most holidays. The rasam soup is amazing (mildly spicy, ina good way). Victor and the staff are warm and friendly, creating a welcoming neighborhood atmosphere and vibe. They alwaysaccommodate my request for a plain yogurt lassi with no sugar and no salt which some other Indian restaurants don't offer as anoption. (I wrote this before the pandemic) Both the lunch buffet and dinner are very reasonably priced plus they offer freedelivery! I love that they have fresh salad, nan, rice pudding and Indian sauces! (Before the pandemic) The owner wouldsometimes offer free Tandoori chicken as an extra when dinning during the buffet hours. Although I'm vegetarian, chicken tikamasala and lamb are always part of the buffet. My family & friends have enjoyed it! Furthermore, street parking is do-able withmeters in front on Yellowstone Blvd or you can find free street parking on one of the side streets. It's also walking distancefrom Queens Blvd and the E/F express trains. I highly recommend Aaheli, without reservation as a wonderful Indian foodrestaurant right here in Forest Hills. Read more

Choose the mild spicy for every dish. I picked the normal spicy one: it was way too hot. If you love spicy, try this place!!

I honestly cannot believe we just wasted $75 here. We eat Indian food quite often and I cook it at home as well. Therefore, we... are very familiar with the flavor profiles of the dishes and it’s not our first time having it. We have eaten at this placebefore, but it was years ago with a different owner. Today we ordered Butter Chicken, Chicken Korma and Chicken Saag. MangoLassi was so watered down that it was impossible to consume. All the chicken entrees were over salted and had no true authenticflavors. The rice seemed cold and stale. The roti was aslo VERY stale. The samosas were fried in old oil and the dough wasextremely greasy. My kids usually looooove Indian take out and they refused to eat this. Horrible experience! We are def neverordering from this place again. Read more

Forest Hills Indian Cuisine is a decent place for Indian lunch buffet and the decor is bright & clean. The host was really... friendly, welcoming and let you feel like dining at home. They served solid Indian food, delicious with good ingredient andupdated their dishes every week. You can tell they are very honest with customers. Our favorite dishes were fish curry and cornsoup. The fish was cooked soft and tender; the corn soup was rich and creamy. Read more

We've been a HUGE fan of this restaurant since before the new ownership and change of name from Aaheli to Forest Hills Indian a... few months back. I am happy to report that the food and service is as good if not better than it was before and it was alreadygreat. Vikram aka Victor, now one of the co owners with his chef, put their hearts and souls into offering delicious Indianspecialties from succulent Tandoori chicken and lamb to amazingly seasoned ..and spiced to your specific request... sauces likeShrimp Malabar...a creamy coconut And mustard seed sauce layered with fresh ginger and curry leaves, sauteed chunks of soft andseasoned okra with bits of onion and peppers, tender pieces of lamb bathed in a pepper chili and onion sauce and deliciouschicken makani or black lentils palace style aka daal maharani and dont pass up the best spinach and cheese aka palak paneerin Queens ...silky luscious and so beautifully seasoned. To name just a few. So check them out. They deliver, you can pick upor eat in the pleasant dining room on the south side Yellowstone Blvd between queens Blvd and Woodhaven ...usually pretty easyto find nearby street parking. Read more
