1st and last time at this Golden Krust. I walked in it was clean which is why they got 1 star. However, when I asked if they had... fried dumplin i was told it wasn?t ready yet. When I asked when it would be ready, The server responded with an attitude ?25minutes?. I asked if all they had was cornmeal porridge at the time another attitude ?yes?. I also purchased a bun and cheese.The porridge was horrible! It was lumpy, tasted of a lot of salt and way too much rose water. I tried the bun and cheese and itwas SPOILED. I?m Jamaican and decided to stop at this location because we were craving some patties. The location had no patties so we... decided to get food instead. The rice was so hard, $5.50 for just some rice and gravy when I could get better for less at a moreauthentic Jamaican spot. The jerk chicken was not good at all and cold. The restaurant is always clean, the staff is very nice as well. I always get my favorite soups which is everyone that they have... on different days of the week , they are very filling & tasty also seasoned very well , I also purchase a few chicken & shrimppatties for my daughter & I who loves them. Came here craving soup I asked the lady if there was any dumplings she said yes then I asked for no meat I got nothing but meat... and 0 dumplings , she basically gave me the opposite of everything I asked for then when I asked for a beef patty she kissed herteeth and gave me attitude. I was interested in the plant based patties. I have walked in to order and was told they are made to order to call it takes 30... mins. This has happened on 3 occasions that I call and no answer. One of the best tasting food i have had in a long time out of all the Golden Krust restaurants I have ate at. Their prices are... average as any other, however the quantity and quality is worth it. As you know Jersey is different from New York...i will saythis, that this spot in Queens is a must eat at... They have all the nice stuff like oxtails, curry goat/chicken, friedchicken, festival, BBQ RIBS, mac n cheese, jerk chicken.... Definitely check this spot out if you ever in Queens NY.
