Watch what you tip. Good chance you'll get berated in front of your guests and other customers. Shame. Food was good but that... was embarassing to my friends treating me, who live out of state. Read more

Perfectly executed Italian food in Douglaston. Located quite literally next to the train station. So if you're coming from the... city and don't want to drive, it's a great location. Read more

We started with a lasagna “for the table”, because why wouldn’t we? It is a very good, classic cheesy and saucy lasagna. ... The perfect start to a “light” meal. We also had the Spedini special which they describe as an Italian grilled cheese withpears. It was really good, and far better than it sounds. The pear provides just the right amount of sweetness. For dinner, Ihad the lobster special, which is essentially lobster over linguini. It is so good, I get it every time I go. It’s even betternow that I discovered they will take the lobster out of the shell so there is nothing to slow me down. We also had the SemolinaCrusted Jumbo Shrimp. They were very tasty. Great flavor and just the right amount of crust. Finally, for dessert, a tartufo andnapoleon were the perfect finishing touches. A delicious classic Italian meal. I highly recommend Il Toscano. We came here to celebrate my dad's 80th birthday. We made it a lunch party, so we were able to get the whole restaurant to... ourselves. The owner, manager, and staff were all top notch... super friendly and awesome service. The food was excellent aswell, everything from the salad, to appetizer, and main course. The even provided a napoleon cake with the Happy Birthdaymessage on it. I generally am not a dessert person, but their napoleon makes me want to become one. All in all, the experiencewas great. My parents and guests all had a great time and really enjoyed the meal. Thank you to all the staff at Il Toscano. Read more

I came here recently for Mother's Day and was greeted with a warm hello from the owner. Il Toscano provides that warm, cozy feel... which added to our superb dining experience. Since it was Mother's Day, we were provided with a special menu. Normally I'm nota fan of holiday-centric menus, but this one provided plenty of variety. Every dish was delicious so I'll definitely come backanother time to try their full menu. Great job, guys!! Read more

One of the best Italian restaurants in Queens! Amazing service. I also had the best pasta primavera ever! I'm vegan and my... family loves Italian food so I've tried a lot of primaveras. It was the homemade pasta, along with the veggies that werejulienned to a similar width. It created a uniform texture throughout capturing all the fresh amazing flavors of the veggieswhile all being highlighted with the garlic and oil. Read more

Local neighborhood gem. Everyone knows this place and the food is just quality eats. Wait staff is very hospitable and so is the... cozy seating. Next to the Douglaston LIRR station, you can't miss it. Excellent food, run to get the foie gras while you stillcan. And try the lasagna, it's really a great dish. Read more
