We ate here Friday eve after a fun time at the Bronx zoo. We called for a reservation and had a great table inside. The service... was awesome and our food was cooked to perfection. I had salmon and everyone else had steak. We ordered the veggie plate toshare and a side of mashed potatoes. I had a glass of the house cab and it was delicious. Definitely going back! Read more

Absolutely love coming here. The food is absolutely amazing and is always cooked to perfection. I usually come here for special... occasions and it's always special every time. The hospitality of the staff cannot be beat, they are so friendly, kind, and mostimportantly respectable a major part of why I continuously come back to this restaurant. Definitely come here, you won't bedisappointed. Read more

Staff and service was great. Food was mediocre at best. The steaks were flavorful but my husband ordered medium rare and it was... served medium to medium well. I'm sure the sweet waiter would have taken it back but it took awhile to get the food and wedidn't want to hold up the dinner. The french onion soup was too salty and the cheese was melted into a glob...not broiled likeit should be. Salmon was bland. Spinach was supposed to be sauted in garlic but no garlic was detected..it sat on a plate ofoil. Brocolli was underdone. Bread served at the start seemed like leftover toast. Check was close to $300 with a tip and I'mhappy to splurge on a good meal but it just wasn't worth it. Read more

Been here a few times. Steaks were cooked exactly as we ordered. Bacon was perfect. Crab cakes were a little soggy and first... time we ever seen prices written on magnum bottles of wine with gold markers. They are lined up right when you walk in. $250$300 $400. Seem to be working cause they have the empty ones right on the floor by the door. The place was packed. Two birthdaytables and everyone having good loud conversation. Read more

They get 3 stars because they were very nice and the side dishes were good but the steak was over cooked and chewy. For a place... called meet the meat, the meat wasn't cooked very well...oh and stay away from the key lime pie it's terrible, the tiramisu wasdecent. Read more

First of all, the restaurant does not observe COVID0-19 protocols. They did not ask to see the vaccination card, and none (as... in, none) of the waitstaff or workers in the restaurant wears any face mask (the first I've seen in NYC!) So if you areconcerned about COVID-19, don't come here. The order of ribeye steak for two was fine (not the best, but not bad). The trufflemac and cheese was not as good as expected, but will pass. Wait time for food to be serve was reasonable. The major problemthough was not the food but the disrespectful male, waiter who gave us an attitude without provocation. We were merelyrequesting a bag for leftovers. Sure, Americans usually throw everything on their table which they don't finish, but we don'twant wastage so we wanted to take out leftovers to which he replied, "Really!?" (with matching facial expression of disdain, asif we were the weirdest people on the planet). A well-trained waiter will not do this. It's our prerogative. When I remindedhim about the bag while he was recovering the plates, he got mad and haughtily told me he was still finishing taking out theplates. Obviously, he was! I didn't mean for him to drop all the plates and return with the bag in two seconds. I merely wasreminding him. He should not be a waiter if he is going to treat his customers rudely. He had no intentions of being pleasant,as if he hated his job, and did not excuse himself as he was clearing out the plates. There are a thousand restaurants in NYCwhich would give better service from well-trained staff without an attitude. They should not call themselves "an upscalerestaurant" if they are giving rude service. We are definitely not returning. We will get our "meats" elsewhere. Also, for NYCRestaurant Week, unlike other restaurants, this does not provide the Restaurant Week Menu on weekends (there was no advice onthe website). Not a biggie. It was ok for us to pay for items on the regular menu, if only the waiter was not so rude. Th Read more

Trust the reviews. This place is quality. The atmosphere is very classic steak house. Lots of wood and wine all over. Prices... were modest. Service was top notch. Above Astoria blvd it gets a little rural and with it comes hospitality. Bunch of familieseating. We got the steak for 2. Ordered medium. The best part was 1/2 the steak was medium and the other 1/2 was medium rare. Somy gf was happy. And I left the medium rare on the hot plate for a little longer and it cooked to medium. So. On point. ThanksMeet the Meat! Read more

Get the ribeye !! The food was delicious, started off with the Canadian bacon which was just right. Then we had the ribeye for... two, mashed potatoes, and the mac & cheese. All were very tasty. Atmosphere and staff was also very nice. 10/10 would recommend. Read more
