I hate to give this place a bad review but the past two times I have gone has been extremely underwhelming in comparison to what... I have experienced in the past. Messy orders, (food literally dripping all over) cold food, smaller portions than usual,especially on the later end of the night. Ordered a platter with rice, have had this tons of times and they just couldn’tfigure it out …falafel was ice cold and put the wrong sauce on twice after asking for what I wanted. Big yikes. Literally first thing I ate after coming back to NYC after two years. Owner is very professional, fed me samples of delish sides... while I waited. I got a falafel pita and it was incredibly good. Might get a spinach pie in the morning now! Read more

Oh my god, don’t know how I never bothered to come here but first time, ordered grape leaves platter, samosas, fava bean side,... and shawarma+gyro platter Everything is AMAZING and so fresh! I never leave a negative review but I have to this time because I want them to know how bad their customer service was. I... ordered food from their website first time and never received my order. I called them twice to ask for my order, and the ownertold me he was busy and just hang up the phone. No refund. Now I have to dispute the transaction with my credit card company. One of my favorite lunch spots in Astoria. I usually get a falafel sandwich or platter, and of course the lentil soup. Simple... with pleasantly assertive flavors.
