First time coming. They moved a block away to a larger location from reading the reviews. Food was delicious and the price was... very appealing. We had a late lunch with no one at the restaurant at the time, but we could see alot of take out orders wereoccurring. We had a Spanish dessert which was interesting for a Kebab restaurant. Also the restaurants menu was back lite so itwas nice and bright! Will go again. Read more

The best kebab in NYC! Try their chicken and beef kofta. It is superb. The serving is plenty. The rice is flavorful and... aromatic. Be sure to buy the bottle of Shirazi White Sauce. It tastes great. I never thought I will be addicted to Afghan food.Try it, you will surely be a regular customer. Read more

The place looks good and clean. It was my second time here today Food is great. Got the Shirazi Platter. The host/ waiter took a... little bit long. I guess that’s because they might be understaffed, they were getting lots of take away orders so they kindaneglected those dining in. Besides that they have a lot of mirrors all over the place which looks awesome but was a littleconfusing going through them to get to the restrooms. Definitely would recommend but you’ll have to be more patient or maybetry and come outside rush hours or just pick up. Read more

I was invited here for an iftar party. Metered parking in front and residential parking on the side streets. Near Fresh Meadows... Mall area. Buffet was amazing, everything was delicious, seasoned well, cooked perfectly, an excellent experience overall andwould come back. Every one dining with me agreed this place has great food! I tried to bring my family here but the reservationswere already fully booked so I recommend planning a few days in advance. They are very busy and for good reason. Tried a littlebit of everything and had no complaints. They had a nice stage setup and it felt like a wedding venue with all the tables. Read more

There’s a Shirazi Cafe as well as a Shirazi Kebob House both located on the same block. It’s confusing because if you google... Shirazi restaurant, Shirazi Cafe pops up but the google images show both establishments. We got food from the Kebob House whichused to be called Ali Baba, located by the bus stop. We got four entrees: beef tikka (~$11), chicken tikka (~$10), lamb chops(~$17), and lamb shank with qabeli (~$14). The prices were reasonable for the amount of food. The beef tikka and chicken tikkawere two skewers each, and we received six pieces of lamb chops. The lamb chops were tender and juicy, while being cooked welldone. Usually if lamb chops are cooked well done, they are dried out, but these were good. On the other hand, usually juicy lambchops are very pink inside. We were pleased to have it both well done and tender. Some pieces of the beef tikka were a bit chewyand did not have much flavor. It was difficult to get past how hard the pieces were, but not all pieces of beef tikka were likethis. The chicken tikka was better than the beef. Some pieces were a little dry but overall, it was good. The lamb shank wastender and delicious. We received four small squares of bread wrapped in two pieces of foil. I would recommend this spot foranyone who hasn’t tried it. You can’t beat it for the price! Read more

Shirazi Kebab House has switched locations a few times and is now at a much brighter spot. I've had really good experiences here... and a really bad one. In the negative experience, I ordered a takeout order and waited for over an hour never receiving my meal. After asking multiple times I was told to hold on and five more minutes multiple times. I left without anything. My girl decidedto try the restaurant again and we were satisfied with the food. The menus light up and the restaurant is very spacious. Iordered the Qabuli Pilau which is two steamed lamb shanks served on a bed of rice with carrots and raisins. The portion wasmassive and I had to take it home. The lamb shanks were pretty big and fell off the bone. My girlfriend had a plate with onechicken tikka and one beef tikka. She liked her meal. The location was also clean and we were asked for our Vaccination cards. Read more
