Met a few friends here for drinks and tacos. It’s nice that you can have a light meal and some good drinks if you want. Plenty... of salt on the margaritas if that’s your thing. Tacos were great. Just the right size so order plenty and try them all. Read more

Im always in forest hills and finally decided to try it out. It said it opens at 11 am. So I went there at 11:15 am and still... wasn’t opened. So I ended not eating there that day. The following week after work, I decided to give it another shot. And nowit One spot you need definitely need to try! The menu is limited but all of their food is fresh and flavorful. Weordered: -corn esquites - Al pastor tacos - Carne Asada - Pollo yucateco taco - Norteña - Gallo quesadillas -lupita piña &limón One order is one taco, so I’d recommend at least 2 tacos per person. Definitely recommend, they have indoor andoutdoor seating and very quick service! Although they open not at the time it says on google or Yelp. Read more

I contemplated writing this review because I really don't enjoy negative reviews however it's my duty to the Yelp community to... advise and inform. An alarm went off in my head when on 6 pm Friday I entered and witnessed more employees than patrons dining. This is Forest Hills and a beautiful afternoon so no reason why it would be so empty but I went against my better judgment anddecided to give it a go and let's just be frank, I wasted money on 4 midget sized, overpriced, dry and flavorless tacos. 2 AlPastor Tacos, 1 Carnitas Taco, and 1 Seared Fish Taco. Did I mention the tacos were barely warm at $5.00 each and the fish was$7.00? I found out the hard way why Tacombi was empty on a Friday evening but not again. If you're going to charge premiumprice on tacos, they must be darn good with better presentation. There are way more authentic taco restaurants in nearby Coronaand Jackson heights at a lesser price. In all, this was a dinner to forget but the staff was super nice and friendly. They makeup the two stars on this review. Read more

Its Forest Hill is difficult with parking. I walked by on a hot day and felt this place had good air conditioning so I sat down... and made one of the worse decision in my life. Not only was the food not good, it was expensive. The beer batter taco wasacceptable but the price doesn't justify the portion served. I would have eaten a seafood buffet for the price else where It wasvery unsatisfying. There are many food trucks serving more delicious food than here. Read more

The place is new, well decorated, and stylish. Food was good. However the retro table that we were set at, needed a good wiping.... It had brownish stains that were pretty easily coming off, once touched. The staff was nice and attentive, however the seatingwasn’t the most comfortable. Stools that have no back part aren't the most inviting. In general we liked the visit, but Idon't think I will come back. Read more

I would come to this place for the crispy fish tacos only, they are very similiar to what I used to eat in Baja California ... Mexico so I'm very happy to find them here. The prices are a little on the high side but coming here once in a while is a treat.I have to try more things on the menu but I'm sure everything is very yummy. Esquites are good, only that the yellow corn givesit a little of a sweet flavor, but kudos to them for having such a traditional Mexican street food on their menu Read more

I was so ecstatic to finally eat here. I have been looking forward to a truly authentic Mexican eatery. The atmosphere of this... venue transports you to a taqueria in Mexico. The beautiful tile work, sky lights, and exposed ceilings serve as a bright andairy backdrop to the delicious food. One of the things I love about this place is that you can watch the chefs prepare theplates, as the kitchen is set right in the middle of the dining area. Each meal is gorgeously plated and will instantly get yourmouth watering. The menu is made for sampling. Using a pencil you write how many of each type of each plate you want. I triedtheir chicken, carne asada, and vegetarian tacos. Everything was incredibly fresh and delicious. I definitely recommend tryingone of their agua frescas to wash it all down with. Or if you prefer they have a selection of beers and margaritas. The pricesare decent given the freshness of the ingredients, and each taco is actually quite filling. I didn't think the 3 would beenough, but I found myself comfortably full. I look forward to returning here ASAP. Read more

Love the authenticity. The tortilla chips were my favorite part, you can always tell a good Mexican spot from another based on... the chips. Tried the Baja fried fish, carne asada and Al pastor. Hands down favorite was al pastor then the Baja fish. Priceis higher then a typical taco spot but it’s worth the splurge. Read more
