The new owner of this place have nasty attitude. He is the cashier and is very rude and obnoxious. Would never buy from there... again. He is clearly bias towards women. Very rude and obnoxious. Please stay away. This man should not be running a businessdealing with customers. Stay away. My entire family supports this business, but the new owner is really rude. Read more

My 1st experience at tropical isle was a year ago I ordered a small pumpkin along with other food. Just enough for 2 people to... eat. The lady put 1 pot spoon of pumpkin in the small bowl anyhow I was not pleased. Today I said I was going there regardlessmy experience .so on my way to work I ordered saltfish and bake. I asked how much and the lady told me $8 I give her $10 I askedfor pepper. She give me back like 50 cent and no bills back . I did not know saltfish and bake is $10 anyhow it bothered me allday from morning till I came home and I did not want to go back in there before I made a scene. So to the cashier I think uneeded that $2 that's why u only give me coins back and u think I didn't realize it but u guys are Rip off .I am definatly notgoing back there . Read more

The soup didn?t have much flavor in it. I would definitely like to try something else from this place though.

The dough was too chewy and didn't taste fresh at all. The quantity of filling was pretty small but it was only $1.50 so no... complaining. I liked the sauces and there was a bit of heat from the pepper. I only needed 1 piece of bread and threw the otheraway. They do a brisk business but I assume that's mostly because they're right under the A train terminus. There are many farbetter spots on Liberty Ave Read more

This corner store was amazing!! I mean if you are craving savory affordable Guyanese food, this is the spot. Everything was... super flavorful as if they marinated the meats and their food for over 24hrs. It's a small shop but trust me, the food is great.Especially for the price you are getting a lot. we loveee the red chicken, it's our favorite and the chicken fried rice is ourgo to, they have veggie fried rice too if you're vegan or vegetarian, but if you aren't, I highly recommend trying that redchicken. Super good. Read more

I?ve seen comments from several people commenting on how the staff were rude and the few times I have been there, my experience... has been the same. I always order the same thing but have noticed that I get overcharged each time. There was one instance theperson in front of me ordered the same thing and when it was my turn to pay, the lady at the front charged me extra despite theprices being listed on the window. I didn?t say anything but kept that in mind. I understand working with customers can getpretty hectic and stressful but there?s a level of professionalism staff must have at all times. I have not seen it here. Read more

So far the food that I have gotten from here has been good tasty but like many others have said the staff is very rude to... customers. What's more upsetting to me is that the price and the food portion are not consistent seems like every cashiercharged different prices and every server give you different portions. They need to be more uniform with their prices andportions. Read more
