The food was excellent, truly as good as advertised. The aging process used is phenomenal. The service on the other hand was... slow and less than reliable. Our server forgot multiple parts of our order and had to be reminded of our missing items. We'refrom Chicago and know how to appreciate a great meal (which this was) and we can also identify poor customer service, which wereceived from our waitress. She was a lovely young woman but her service ethic was very lacking. Our tab, including 15% for ourwaitress, totalled $300+. The food was definitely worth the menu price. The food here was very good, but we had some issues with a couple of things: They apparently couldn?t bring us any bread because... there weren?t enough baskets for the bread because they were ?so busy?. I would think an expensive restaurant would know howmany tables they have and would have enough baskets for bread to go to every table. There was plenty of bread going to othertables. I asked twice for bread and never got it. It took quite a while to place our order and a while to get our food, but thefood was good once we got it. The waitress was very busy, but just didn?t seem to have her stuff together. I am usually prettypatient, but to me it seemed like she just didn?t care too much. Read more
Dinner this evening, 6 pm reservations, mood was quiet. Service from walking in was nice, professional & efficient. Wife & I had... the Evil red blend wine, I had the filet, she had the shrimp & grits, as well as the salmon chowder. Service & food wereexcellent. BoodaLu Steakhouse in Quincy, IL is outstanding! This restaurant is in an old brick warehouse near the Mississippi River. The... staff was great. Our server, Bre is as good as they get. Personable, knowledgeable about the menu & whiskey choices. Sherecommended the BoodaLu Old Fashioned, which was spot on with the Wagyu steak pairing. The seared Ahi Tuna app was really goodas well. This was my first visit here, but I?m already looking for a reason to return to Quincy so I can dine here again. Thedown side is, they only have the Wagyu as an occasional special. So if that?s what you have your taste buds set on, make sureyou call ahead to see if it?s on the menu. Read more
First-time patron and I was not disappointed. Our waitress was attentive and polite and knowledgeable of menu items. Our food... was sent out in a timely manner. We ordered beverages (I got an Old Fashioned and he ordered a Manhattan) and they were quitedelicious. The steaks we had for dinner were also fantastic. Done to perfection and full of flavor, they were tender and juicy.I believe I had the Bleu Bell (I cannot remember the name) treatment, which was wonderful. Food was absolutely amazing. Steak was tender and seasoned perfectly. The vegetable side was the best I've ever had. Over $80... for two people but so, so good. Love the ambience. Upscale, business-casual and relaxing atmosphere. Nice table settings and clean surrounding. Great place to hangout, enjoy... amazing food and sip on a martini or cuddle a glass of wine. Friendly, efficient staff very knowledgable of their menu andtrained for top notch service. Views of the river from the front al fresco seating. Beautiful place well worth the trip toenjoy. My husband and I had our first experience at this restaurant last year for a special occasion. Now we take every opportunity we... can to come visit and enjoy a delicious meal. On our first visit we were blessed with service from Annie. She made ourexperience complete with her hospitality and genuine heart. The food options are carefully placed together for the perfectplate. The flavors that are combined in certain dishes truly do ensure a special and exhilarating experience every time youvisit.
