Don't be discouraged by pricier menu. You will get what you pay for. Everything was so incredibly delicious and high quality.... Pictured is salmon and prawns and the Jager spätzle. Dessert was defo worth it. Shared the strudel and crepes. Both so good. Read more
Amazing food, amazing service, amazing experience. I live an 8 hr drive away & will be back. While the meals are not... inexpensive, the flavours are fantastic & the portion sizes are good, so it is a great value. I also really appreciate that therestaurant is still taking some precautions to keep us safe- it?s great to have some space between you & the guests you aren?twith, & to see things being sanitized between use, especially in a tourist location!! Would have been 5 stars but they are covid crazy. No menus, either read the one on the wall or use an app which they tried to... push us into. They redeemed themselves with excellent top quality Bavarian foods, apple strudel to die for. Wonderfulservice,clean quiet ambience good for a romantic date.nice decor cute fireplace. The chef is amazing give stars for food andambience. Just give us menus and don't try to push an app on us.Bring your own hand sanitizer theirs burns. Read more
Absolutely fabulous meal and we can't praise the wonderful staff enough!! My husband and I went here for our honeymoon and we... were so pleased with how well we were treated. This was the best meal we had in the whole town. The lamb we had just melted inyour mouth. Our wonderful waiter would check up on us to make sure we were taken care of for anything we needed at all. Theatmosphere at the restaurant was warm and welcoming. We will definitely be returning just for the service and meals they preparehere. 10/10!!! Read more
HELmut (cook) + NAtasha (dining room manager) = HELNA'S. I have been coming fairly regularly to the Radium area ever since I... was a small child. One tradition I have is that I always stop by and eat German food for dinner. I have done this at the oldrestaurant located on the main highway as you enter Radium each time until tonight. This time, one of the locals recommendedthat I come to Helna's instead. I came with my family and had an incredible experience! The staff were so friendly and patientwith my two young (elementary school aged) boys. They would listen intently to what they had to say and would even continue theconversation to discover more of their thoughts. My boys lit up at how important it made them feel to be addressed directly likethat. The food was so amazing that we took a veritable tour of many of their dishes! We couldn't stop eating! LOL We startedoff with two of their amazing soups, the French Onion Soup and the Goulash. They came out quickly and were PIPING HOT ???? which warmed us up like a big hug ????. That got everyone settled down and relaxed for a wonderful evening. Then the Caesarsalad and Baked Brie came out and everyone dug in together and shared with delight. The meals came out and were each a HIT withall of us. They all looked and tasted so great that we all shared with each other (a true family dinner)! We rarely orderdessert at other restaurants but enjoyed the authentic atmosphere, food and friendly service so much that we had to see the hugelist of temptations that they have here. The children each received Ice-cream with a Hazelnut/chocolate sauce on top (yummy) andthen we all shared Apple Strudel and Crème Brulé. That paired with a delightful Latte at the end was a the perfect way to endan incredible meal! Helna's has been open for 23 years and I finally tried it out. It WILL NOT TAKE ME 23 YEARS TO COME BACK!!!I will be making this my new GO TO SPOT for my German food craving stop each time now! Read more
We all decided to Have the Beef Roulade. It was so good. Served with Spatzle and veggies. I had ice cream with Chocolate and my... cousins had the struddle and the hazelnut cake. Highly recommend you make a reservation as they are busy and had to turn peopleaway. Read more
