Went to one of these in Clayton/Garner area years ago -- so we stopped here for a birthday celebration. Staff was so kind and... helpful ??. The barbecue brisket was delicious and we bought many sides and desert. It was a wonderful experience. We have ofcourse been back there. Last time we visited they gave us free desert. Wow! Ms Laurie and Dolce are always so nice and helpful. The managers and other employees are as well. They always make me feel... welcome and greet me by name like a VIP. I came across this place last night with my husband. Food was amazing but customer service was on point. Dulce made me feel... right at home and was very Patient with me since I had never been here. Being a restaurant owner myself I was very impressedwith the food and service that we drove 30 minutes back tonight. Dulce was here again greeting us with a smile. Great place to stop if you are in the area. Food was delicious. Fries were hot and fresh. Fresh baked chocolate cake I got to... go and was very good. The staff was very friendly. It felt like you walked into your families house for supper. It is a littlepricey but for the area and the quality of food we'll worth it. Read more

Since I don't eat a lot of meat, you may be surprised how much I enjoyed City BBQ! It was delicious! We got the city sampler and... shared it between the two of us. The brisket, sausage link, turkey and pulled pork. All of them were perfectly cooked, tender,juicy and great with the sauces. My favorite sauce was the mustard, followed by the vinegar. For such a large place, they really have their act together! Food was ready in minutes. I had the pork sandwich, fried okra, Mac... and cheese and we split a basket of fries. Meat was very well smoked and I am picky about the meat. The okra tasted like it waspicked and fried today and the Mac and cheese was out of this world! Fries reminded me of one of my favs from many yearsago. Everyone was super nice and the dining area large and clean.
