This restaurant is NOTHING like it used to be. I was on hold for 10 minutes so once they decided to come back to take my order,... I told the young lady I'd take my patronage and money elsewhere. I totally understand the shortage of help, but I refuse towait to place my order, then another 25 minutes to get my order, only to receive two small flounders that are really just oneflounder cut in half. Consistency is one of the hallmarks of a restaurant that brings me back. I love the flavors Jacks delivers in their food. I... also appreciate getting their spin on healthy when I ask for it. They give me turkey wings that are baked or roasted withoutgravy, for example. Turnip greens cooked with turkey meat instead of pork or ham and without a lack of flavor to my meal. This was my first time eating at Jacks. It was recommended to me by my sister. We arrived and it was pretty busy. I love that... they require mask and the employees were adhering to the mandate. The ladies upfront were very professional and courteous. Iordered the flounder/shrimp combo and the smothered pork chop. Everything was seasoned very well. My only problems was theflounder looked like trout. My boyfriend didn't really care, but I would have like to get what we paid for. And while the porkchop tasted great, the quality of the meat could be better. I thought I had gotten two really big chops, but while eating it,they were really big bones, fat and gristle, very little meat. I would rather get one great meaty pork chop than what theyserved. Hopefully it was just a coincidence. Other than that, it was a good experience. I will return to try other things onthe menu. Read more
