My son and I decided to visit Oro restaurant during Raleigh Restaurant Week in November 2021. We read good reviews and liked the... menu that was being offered. We made reservations and were seated quickly upon arrival. We were greeted with a smile andprofessionalism. Our server was friendly and fully engaged with our experience at the restaurant. Our dishes were served in atimely manner. We enjoyed our food and dessert. Everything was very tasty and moist. The portions were a little on the smallerside but other than that we had a wonderful visit. Read more

Absolutely phenomenal! I went for my birthday and got the tasting menu with 5 friends. They brought out dish after dish and... every single one was delicious and interesting. The cocktails were some of the most complex flavors pulled off with such a funpresentation and our server was helpful and charming. It's a bit on the pricey side, but I'd recommend that anyone who wants tocelebrate a special occasion with delicious food should come to ORO. Read more

We had the most fabulous girls night out at Oro! We walked in after dinner for some drinks, so we didn't have reservations.... Luckily we were able to find seats at the bar. The cocktails are so pretty, fun and innovative! The finger foods were orderedweren't exemplary but they were good. The dessert we wanted was sold out! So we have to settle for the banana pudding. It waslip smacking! The ambience is beautiful and the music is peppy! Perfect for date night or a GNO! The Restaurant was full andvery busy, Which is always a good sign. I would go back there in a heartbeat! But you definitely need reservations! we got luckywith the walk-in. Read more

Great tapas location. Hosted a business dinner for 8 so had plenty of opportunities to sample the many different offerings. So... many to choose from, hard to go wrong. Deserts are crazy good. The bar is the real thing (nice selection of canned beers, craft cocktails). Read more

Beautiful delicious dishes and great service and location. Only complaint is that some drinks are typical southern too sweet. I... would be happy to see less sugar and more tartness. Read more

This place is similar to tapas. We had a blast. We ordered too much food. The waitstaff was upbeat and entertaining. They... stopped by often to check on us. The food was very good! Some unusual tastes, but still good food. The cute serving tray forthe Jamaican jerk chicken was too cute and funny. The music in the background was pleasant. It was lovely watching the rainfallwhile we were warmly nestled inside. There is one thing, if you can't do the stairs, go to potty before going upstairs becausethe restroom is downstairs... Lol Great place to visit and just have fun visiting with your guest(s). Read more

Delicious! The butternut Squash was the best I’ve ever had! I like the shared plate theme. I wish the crab cakes were a little... bigger because they were very flavorful and not bread filled. Everything was seasoned well, came out hot, and was platedbeautifully. We also tried the truffle mac&cheese, pot stickers, and a few drinks. You have to try Alice in Wonderland! I’llbe back! Tried this place for restaurant week to try something new and get a taste of their menu. The experience was underwhelming and... the food was not very good. Biggest concern was we watched one of the chefs throw something that was on fire into the garbageand then dig his hands into the garbage to smother it and then GO BACK TO COOKING without washing his hands. Not to mention noneof the cooks were wearing masks despite the mask mandate signs posted on the restaurant’s doors. The service was very slow, which was unexpected because the restaurant week menu is fixed so you’d think they’d be pumping it out faster. Made sense tohave slow service though as we watched the cooks seem to wander aimlessly and step over each other constantly in thekitchen. Our entrees were cold when we got them and I’m pretty sure that pasta and lamb were not meant to be served cold. Ourdesserts however were warm and I’m pretty sure that cheesecake is not meant to be served warm. The taste of the entrees wasfine, but the desserts were worse than what you can buy in a grocery store bakery. I think most of the glowing reviews andappeal for this place comes from their cheeky cocktails and “interactive” food dishes, but none of that was showcased bytheir restaurant week menu. If the intention of restaurant week is to show off your restaurant’s capabilities or draw in newpatrons to become regulars, this place failed on both objectives. Read more
