There were three of us who came in for a quick lunch. We needed to return to a convention by 1:30pm. We were seated right away... however the speed of service slowed tremendously. We walked in at 12pm and it took about 15 min for the waitress to take ourorder. Two of us ordered the soup, salad, and a roll combo, while the third ordered the tonkatsu ramen and a roll. Miso soupcame with salad coming about 15 min later. Our rolls came out about 1:20 and we had to be back in class at 1:30pm. They werebusy (almost every table was full) however both the soups and house salads were pre-made. The waitress did not return to fillour water until we signed our receipts. Food came out at different times which made it impossible to enjoy our meal(we had about5 min to eat our sushi rolls). (One person eating while the other waited). Food was great once we got it. Sushi was so good that I didn’t even end up taking any pictures of it and just devoured it. Service was really good and caters... to a big party. It’s real spacious and welcoming. Really enjoyed their Sashimi and Nigiri, thank you for having us!! Read more
Ambiance was not what I expected from a restaurant with such high food standards. Needs a renovation. Presentation was good. ... The sushi was artsy and delicious with plenty of fish and very little " filler". Staff did not look happy. Our waitress didnot speak to ask if we needed help explaining the menu or if we liked it. She quickly walked up (after 15 minutes) and said,"are you ready?". No hello, welcome, specials etc. Probably won't be back, although the sushi was very high quality. Read more
I stopped by here on Friday afternoon because a friend recommended I try this sushi place out. I couldn’t decide what I wanted... so I ordered the chicken ramen with chili oil to make it a little spicy along with the dancing eel roll. To drink I had the sakeflight. The food was delicious and had good flavor. I will stop by here again if I am ever in the area and have a taste forsushi. Read more
We were seated and served quickly. Really good service. Our sushi was good. We chose the screaming o and the grand piano If we... were in town we would definitely dine hear again. Cool decor, side note I loved the pots they had the soy sauce in and theserving trays. It does add the extra vibe???? Read more
I Love SONO! The Fish is fresh, the variety is great and the Chefs creations are wonderful! The staff is outgoing and friendly.... Always attentive. I enjoy their food 2 to 3 times a week. If you want a Nice atmosphere and Great food, THIS IS THE PLACE! ENJOYYour Eating Experience! Read more
Edamame was unevenly cooked, the ones at the top were too mushy. Yakitori was great! The omakase was not bad but could be... better. The ikura was extremely salty, and the omakase took a really long time to arrive. It was a good experience overallthough! Read more
My waiter was great but the kitchen took 20+ minutes to make sushi and it wasn't packed at all for dinner. The quality of fish... is good but the rice ... the rice was obviously made a long time ago during the day and was hard and cold. High end sushi alwaysserve warm rice. Also the quantity of rice is too much and the ratio of fish to rice was overall not balanced. That's a commonissue in cheap sushi restaurants across the US. However, I didn't expect this issue given the price. I don't think it's worth itto come back for the sushi. Read more
