They were out of shrimp and grits, came back 25 mins after we ordered to tell us they were also out of steak tacos that 2 of us... ordered then came back AGAIN to tell us they were out of potatoes which all 4 of us ordered. This entire experience lastedalmost 2 hours for average food at best. Very disappointed and they didn’t offer a discount or anything. Our server also neverfilled our beverages. My mom and I had a lovely evening here! It was our first visit, but definitely won’t be the last. The atmosphere is inviting... and cozy. We started with the bruschetta and some cocktails which were fantastic! We also ordered the Hangar and the Ahi TunaTruffle bowl which were both SO delicious. Brunch here is pretty good. The sausage is a tad spicy. They prepare the eggs with pepper. I recommend the burrito. Their hash... browns are in small fired cake sizes, I like them well done and no need to add salt and pepper. Their breakfast sandwich isfulfilling as well as the fancy french toast. This was my 1st time at Taste but definitely won't be my last! The food was amazing and service was great! I'm guilty of really... going off the rails on weekends for brunch, but Taste provided great food. Ingredients tasted high-quality, fresh, and healthy.My iced hazelnut coffee was AMAZING. Restaurant was understaffed and employees seemed stressed trying to keep up. We were sat at a table for 10 minutes before menus... arrived. The waitress/ hostess was kind and we felt bad for her. When the food arrived it was okay, but a bit overcooked and toomuch pepper. We understand the staffing challenges and supply chain challenges post covid, so we were patient. However, therewere many guests that came in, waited at the host stand to be seated while a frenzied staff walked by without even acknowledgingtheir presence. I really felt like a simple "Hello, we'll be right with you" to guests waiting to be seated would've helped.Willing to give this place another try for dinner, but I don't think I'll return for brunch.
