We came back to this Tasu location for the first time in quite a long time and were disappointed. The surrounding parking lots... were slammed on a Saturday around 6 PM so I called for the wait time. The first time they hung up on me immediately. The secondtime I called back they put me on hold as soon as they said hello. I went inside to find 3 people standing at the podium, 1 ofwhich asked how many just to defer to a 4th person (who I assumed was the manager) who then asked the same thing. I was thenable to be seated by a 5th person and receive drinks before the folks at the podium hung up (10 minutes later). I understandthat things can get crazy when you're busy... but we were seated immediately, there were multiple open tables and at least oneindividual was at the podium the entire time I was there. The gyoza we received was cold despite being pan seared and on a hotplate; which was covered with tons of silverware scuffs. I had attempted to order one set of rolls from the front of the menuand one set from the back but the waiter gave me the impression that you couldn't mix and match so I ended up with 2 from thefront/BOGO menu. The presentation was pretty meh and my plate didn't have the Ginger/Wasabi while another at the tabledid. There wasn't enough good in the food/experience for me to return. Read more

Best sushi in Raleigh. It's sad that the BOGO is gone. It's still available for a few of the rolls but not all them

Decided to give them a try and we were very pleased. Our server O'Ryan was great and attentive. I had the Scorpion Bowl drink... which was fabulous. We will definitely be back Read more

I?ve been coming to Tasu for years. I have to say the sushi is some of the best (and Bogo!!) you just have to purchase a drink.... Chicken and pork gyoza is so delicious. I always get two rolls and either the house fried rice or the curry fried rice. Youcan?t go wrong with either. It?s a huge portion for two people, and always plenty left over for the next day. It?s hard ho findbogo sushi in the Raleigh area that?s good and this Tasu definitely delivers with the quality and presentation of sushi and allof there other dishes! Always would like to add our server was attentive and welcoming! Read more

So I happened to call in to Tasu yesterday to order 18 rolls for a family members birthday, and Mandy answered the phone, who... was awesome since she went above and beyond to help me with my order. I went in and ordered 10 specialty rolls and had 8 morecustomized which they were happy to do with the types of fish, crab, vegetables, roe, sauces, etc. that I wanted. She was evenkind enough to put all the sushi rolls on some nice disposable party platters and give me plenty of condiments and chopsticksfor everyone. I ended up paying for the 10 rolls I ordered and she said once they figured out what other 8 rolls the chefswould make, I could come in and pay for the rest when I picked up the order. I went back in about an hour from the time Iordered, and they had just finished getting everything together for me to pick up... Food was awesome, Mandy and Raul! You guysneed a raise!!! HOWEVER, when I went back in, she told me she ended up speaking to Sr. Management and they told her she shouldhave charged me $5 dollars per plastic disposable take out plate, and that they could only do buy one get one free on up to 5rolls (which would be 10 in total)?!?!?! She was also kind enough to let it slide under the radar since it's not what she and Ioriginally discussed. THANK YOU, MANDY!!! What kind of person in management in their right mind let's people dine in or takeout only up to 5 rolls when I probably paid for 1/5 of their total lunch sales today? What's the difference in getting buy 1,get one 1 free, and buying 20 and getting 20 free? The numbers are relative, so it's the same amount of money made...LMAO!!! Ihate to say this because I rarely say negative things, but WHOEVER TOLD HER THAT IS A VILLAGE IDIOT! LOL ????????????. PLEASECOME BACK FROM THE STONE AGE AND USE YOUR BRAIN AGAIN! What if by telling me that (I live around the corner from you and come upall the time for sushi), I never returned to you since there are 20+ other places I can go to within 20 Read more

Mixed review I guess. The staff was super friendly, and the food came out quickly. The calamari, house salad dressing and wonton... soups are amazing. The thai tea was disappointing, very small with very little flavor and no refills, definitely not worth themoney. The pad thai was not good at all, extremely oily and very little flavor. The curry was good, not great, but good. I wouldprobably not get thai food there again, but the wonton soups we would go back for. Read more
