Really wanted to love it, but it was just fine. The staff was lovely and warm, but the food wasn’t worth going back for. If... you’re going to go, go for a standard drink and a good time socializing but skip the food. Starting with the good, the chickentenders were fresh tasting and good. Honey mustard was homemade and pretty good. Our appetizer, Devil on Horseback, wasunderwhelming- figs stuffed with goat cheese and wrapped in bacon with a balsamic vinaigrette, sounds great! But desperatelyneeded pepper. Strange, bare plating. Ordered a medium burger and got a great medium cook but it just wasn’t spectaculartasting- no seasoning. Veggies were fresh tho. Fries served with the burger were lukewarm on arrival and only fine. Blackberrysour was more like soda- wouldn’t recommend. Read more
This place was absolutely first rate! After google routed us to Trophy Brewing which had a) changed names, menu, ownership, and... b) they were closed, we were left with few options. Luckily Raleigh Times was open a few minutes away and boy was it worth it! Wonderful menu with sumptuous beers on tap and gourmet eats, we really enjoyed it. The Devils on Horseback appetizer with baconwrapped figs was super rich, sinful, but so so good. I would have been good with eating only one but.... I didnt. My son hadthe quesadillas and really liked them (server who was wonderful recommended them over the nachos) and I had the Cuban sandwichsubstituting the cucumber "salad" for fries. So tasty. Their draft beer selection is eclectic but great especially if you usethe untappd app like I do (profile flipwils11, look me up). I started with the Westbrook Key Lime Pie Gosewhich and I wish ithad been described as a sour on the menu (I wouldn't have ordered it). Well it expanded my horizons and was still very good. The Foothills Craft Happiness Ocean IPA was far far better since I like hazy IPA's and would definitely recommend it. I'mkicking myself for not ordering the Delirium Red Belgian Ale because somehow I didn't see it on the list! I mean whoah,Delirium from Belgium, in Raleigh! Mind blown. Rooftop terrace, outdoor curbside patio, several bars...feels 'hometown bar-y'...good selection of beers and cocktails and a... great menu (those Peruvian wings are ????????). Went in on mother's day, wasn't hectic, sat at a 4-top in the bar dining areaand were served by Sarah. She was the most authentic, attentive, responsive person I've had the privilege to have been givenservice by, and everyone else seemed really friendly. Zero buyer's remorse here! I'll be back! Classy spot in downtown Raleigh with open seating, amazing food, and drinks. Relaxing ambiance. Beautiful exposed brick and art... features. Incredibly spacious, and the high ceilings lend to this. Great choice for ladies night. I've dined here twice and willbe back. Read more
Great Pub style Bar and Restaurant. The Staff that work here are great as well. Food is very nice! I suggest trying the... Mozzarella Cheese's Sticks and the Far East Ruben. It's located in a 100 year old building that was Originally the home of theNews Paper the Raleigh Times. Highly recommend checking out this historical location when you are in Downtown Raleigh. Raleigh Times is one of my favorite places to go! Amazing pleasing atmosphere / great location.. sitting on the rooftop was... awesome ???? Everything on their menu is fantastic and cooked perfectly. Wonderful staff! the waitress was extremely nice.. Iordered the “Times Peruvian Grilled Wings”???? it was absolutely delicious ???? the Peruvian Verde dipping sauce wasmouthwatering ????
