Came to get away for a nice time because of celebration for my brother's death and birthday anniversary. Something to make my... mom feel loved. 1 ordered a room down stairs. My mom his on oxygen. I assumed it would be ground level since not up stairs. But they only had a room actually down stairs. Below ground level. Very dungeon like, no light in hall way, very dark. Filthywalls in corridor. Ants in shower. Was recommended my 82 year old mom hop the small brick wall outside the patio to get to thepool, not a good plan by your associates. when we got to pool it was filled with children doing swimming lessons. Notrelaxing, so we had to walk all the way back to the room, hop the wall and change. No late check out and i had a t time so mymom had to leave the room before i was done golfing. Luckily was able to t off early and she didnt have to wait long. Beddinglooked fresh out of the package. Not washed or ironed, just put on the bed all i wrinkled no attention to detail. I have 35years in resort and hospitality Industry and was extremely disappointed with my stay. Your golf course however is prestine. Didn't eat at resort my impressions led me to believe it wouldn't have been good. We went to barona instead. That was the bestpart of our experience was leaving and going to barona. As far as weddings go; Joyce, Mary Lou, & the San Vicente Golf Resort staff were incredible! Their hard-work, generosity,... patience, & kindness gave us the most perfect wedding we could imagine! Everything was so easy, beautiful and stress-free! Notonly is the venue gorgeous and affordable, it includes the ceremony, reception, delicious food, & the sweetest/most helpfulcoordinators (Joyce & Mary Lou)! Us & our guest had a wonderful time and we cannot speak highly enough about everyone who helpedmade that happen. Read more
Can't give a fair review because apparently these fairways are Bermuda grass. And allegedly Bermuda grass is "dormant" in the... winter months which basically means it's dead. So the pictures show green beautiful fairways and when we arrived it was hardbrown grass. If what they say is accurate the summer months would be great for this course. Bunkers and greens recentlyrenovated. Greens are very challenging. Good service (didn't see a cart girl though). Would try again in the summer to see ifthis would become a 5 star course. Our prior plans fell through and we ended up here! It was nothing but amazing for me and the four other ladies I was with. The... rooms were fantastic, the two places we ate/drank was very reasonable and very delicious! The front desk staff was so graciousand heated up all of our leftovers for us. 2/09/2022 When a person is calling for a tee time, they should be informed that the Bermuda grass is not reseeded and not... watered. This should be said just like when they punch the Greens. When the 2 of us got there, we had already paid 130.00 for 2players no discount and the fairways were like hitting off asphalt and hard pan dirt. I asked about a discount and they statedno. I think the management should give discounts to unsuspecting out of towners that read the course was redone and it shows allthe fairways nice and green, until you get there and it's all-brown grass everywhere. This is the first time I have ever gave areview, but it should be stated they are stealing from the public because of their decison not to water the fairways. Great value for the money. Our room was lovely. Great view of the golf course and nice amenities. Bed was a bit too soft, but... hey, some people prefer that. I appreciated the extra plugs on the nightstand to charge all my devices. We had dinner andbreakfast on site, both meals were amazing. Service at the front desk and in the restaurant was top notch.
